Not a new update!
I have been a Calendar Creator user for several years.Love the product.However, I am very disappointed with 2005 Deluxe.Every few years I update the software to the latest version.THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE!It is the same product they have been selling since 2002 with a new label.Don't let the "2005" label fool you.Personally, I feel cheated by the company because they are passing this off as a new update by relabeling a three year old product.

All I Wanted Was A Simple Calendar Kit....
I decided I wanted to make calendars this year for Christmas presents, and was looking at the Invent It! calendar kits. A generous relative, however, gave me an early Christmas present of a binding system and this software.

Don't bother ...
This product doesn't even deserve a star. Printing blank calendars is even a challenge. Some calendars don't work properly and upcoming holidays don't match the right dates. What a complete waste of time and money!

Not A Happy Camper!
I used Calender Creator 4.0 and was very satisfied with the performance of the software.I had to upgrade due conflicts with printing and my operating system. After several hours with the tech support people, I have come to the conclusion, dust off the old computer which operated under Windows 95, reload the 4.0 version and be satisfied once more...I do not recommend this software.

Works Poorly with Other Applications
I've used this title for years, and was drawn into buying this particular version by the claims of PDA compatibility.When I received the product and installed it, I learned that in the help section that "certain features of Calendar Creator and the Palm handhelds are not fully compatible, and may affect your data when synchronized." Great Networked Calendar
We have owned this product in Versions 7 and 9 for our law office for several years. If you need for more than one user to access the program simultaneously, as we do in the office, the program networks seamlessly.You could pay a fortune for a multi-user calendar like this from other vendors. If you have more than two users needing access, you can buy a license. I have seen many complaints in these reviews about technical support; I have e-mailed a couple of times and received a thorough response within 24 hours. The interface for the calendar and address book is easy to use. I highly recommend the program because of features, ease of use, and price.

Works well
Have been using this (actually version 9) for a week or so.It seems to do everything you'd want, and is very similar to the paper day-timer I used years ago. Do not buy if you want support
Anytime Deluxe 9.0 sounds good for the money.Mine quit working on WinXP after 2 days, and tech support did not reply to my complaint for over a week, when I was given the address to their FAQ page.It contained no helpful information. After calling them, the tech support person admitted there was a problem, and had me modify my registry.The software ran for about 2-3 days, and then stopped working again.I have called and written emails and tech support has not responded in over a week.Even at its best, the software is mediocre - so save your money and buy some software that works and that the company will support. ... No PDF function - advertising on box is false
This product states in several places on the box that you can save and/or e-mail calendar files in PDF format.This is a false statement.The PDF file functions are only found in the more expensive "Deluxe" version.We called the manufacturer's customer support number and, after a lengthy wait, a support tech confirmed the only the deluxe version could do PDF files.He did not seem surprised to learn that the standard 2005 version box claimed to have that function included.This is blatent false advertising. DO NOT BE MISLED!

The Absolute Worst
I've never spent so much wasted time trying to get a program to do what I want it to.This is the most rediculous, convoluted way to create a simple calendar, using your own photos in your own chosen order, that I've ever seen in my life.Calendar Creator 4 was simple and straight forward, it just didn't add your photos.Finally I've upgraded and luckily I found a rebate that made this p.o.s. software free.If you want to make calendars with THEIR pictures, maybe you'll like this.There's got to be a better way... ... Buyer Beware
I bought this software locally, and tried to install it yesterday. Instructions say to shut down any background programs when installing in Windows ME, which I did.Not only did the software not install--although there were noises and blinking lights--the process somehow made my CD and DVD drives "undetectable" by my computer, just as if they didn't exist.Upon going to the support URL listed on the package, I found out the product is no longer supported, so if there's a problem you're on your own.I got my drives back through system restore and Windows Update. Great version of a great product
Glad to be back in the calendar business again!!! This is one of the best calendar packages out there, and I highly recommend it.I started using calendar creator with DOS way back and loved it. The first windows versions were decent, then with version 5 the software became so buggy it wasn't worth it. It seems with verion 8 though, they have managed to overcome most of their problems. I'm running it on windows 98 and having good luck. It is a little complicated for someone unaccustomed to the software, but once you figure it out, all the features really add to the flexability. I'm hoping the newer versions add a few more features, but this one works well and I'm pleased!

A terrible, horrible, no good, very bad piece of software.
I bought this product to make family calendars and have found it useless.My biggest beef? This program offers calendar making with a multitude of options, maybe too many options.I have owned several versions of this program and each upgrade allow more and more customization of calendars.The problem comes trying to remember all the things you can do.What saves the program is the basic templates for calendars are very good and answer most needs.What I especially enjoyed was being able to add re-occurring events like birthdays and anniversaries so as to be reminded of them with icons to individualize events.Great little program for the price, just make sure you have the minimum system requirements before installing. ... Perfect Calendar to Manage Our Household
I have used verious versions of the program for well over a decade and Version 8 for several years. It is a great way to manage our family calendar. With a color printer it has gone from "perfect" to "spectacular". We don't begin to use its graphic features so I have no idea how it works for a "fancy wall hanging commercial type calendar." But to manage a VERY busy household of two parents, several kids, lot of activities, lots of practices, lots of competitions, lots of kids work schedules, lots and lots of conflicts - well it could not be better.

If you want to use the templates provided, this works ok.Customizing is a nightmare.Getting it to print correctly is almost impossible and the help is useless.I'm going to try something else.

They Coulda Done Better
I've used most versions of Calendar Creator since version 1. I recently upgraded to Calendar Creator 8 from version 4 because version 4 won't run under Windows XP. I found that version 8 wouldn't import my version 4 data. I find version 8 much harder and less intuitive to use than the older versions. The box says it'll export data for use in a webpage. Wrong. How can a reputable company.....
screw up a perfectly simple program? Ask Broderbund, as they went out of their way to make this product nearly 100% unusable. Further, one can not access their support/help or even "contact us" links. Suggestion--pull the product from your offerings. BTW, the website does offer the following advice; "If you are having problems you should first become a better (more knowledgeable ) user, as most problems can be corrected if you do so."
