Seriously disappointed no Support for WM5 PPC
After getting my clients and myself over to Microsoft Money with them on the way to upgrade to SBA since "Microsoft products play well" microsoft pulls stupid yes stupid things like this. This was a record year increase in sales of PPC. Who at Microsoft don't get it? If you release WM5 you would expect any product 2005 on would work on it! When I saw 2007 was out I was happy to be able to go to my clients and say here the wait is over we can go ahead and move up.... But no. Sad. Sorry MS not getting your money and your not getting ours this time. Someone screwed up.

Switching to Quicken
I've been using MS Money for 5 or 6 years now, with only minor issues.Prior to that I used Quicken, but when I got a Pocket PC I wanted to be able to enter transactions on the PPC, and the only handheld version of Quicken at the time was for Palm OS.So I switched to Money, and have been generally happy.
They refuse to listen to customer requests.
It works okay for me.For three years, I (and a lot of people) have been asking for the capability to simply show customer payments on the invoices.They havn't listend even though they've acknowledged the probelm.I'm giving Quicken a shot for 2007. ... Read more

Very disapointed outlook user
I use microsoft outlook, and was excited that this product supposedly syncs with outlook.Yay, I thought.Well, first time I sync, it deletes all my outlook calendar items!Took me an hour to restore everything to normal, and I have yet to find a setting where it won't do that!
Not Pricey, But Effective
I've used Lotus Organizer for a long time and decided it was time to upgrade to a WinXP version. In looking at the latest release and the significant price tag; I decided there has to be something better. AnyTime Organizer is just as effective and for less than half the price as Lotus. It's not filled with all the customizable color/bells and whistles; but it doesn't have to be. It's effect, doesn't take a huge amount of memory to run on my laptop and does the same job just as well. It's a good buy.

Organize simply!
I tried what seems like everything to do the simple tasks I wanted to do:maintain my address book (with some flexibility to attach things like driving directions), and keep all of those little snippets of information that couldn't be neatly and logically kept elsewhere without learning a complex application.

Very disappointing
This product will be just fine if: you don't have to enter historical data, you're tenants never move out, you never sell a property, you don't mind entering data manually instead of having the program do it for you (silly you).
BAD PROGRAM
The info doesn't transfer onto quickbooks. I couldn't keep track of late fees automatically. Rent isn't automatic every month, it must be manually entered monthly. This was a pain to use.BAD PROGRAM

Wow!Priceless! Simply the best in its class.
Being somewhat skeptical after seeing the numerous mapping softwares on the market, I thought another gimmick. I was still intrigued so I downloaded a trial of MindManager and my first impression was "that's it"? I continued to play with it and was amazed at how it seamlessly reproduced my cognitive processes re ideas and organizing them. Its simplicity was tied to its seamless. I usually think best with a pen in hand, writing or drawing sketches of what I'm thinking in order to make it clearer or to concetrate myself. Sometimes just scribbling on a pad while thinking... This product is amazing to the kinesthetic and/or visual, global thinker vs. the discret, linear, ABC info prccessing type. I am so enthused about this product... Really... Its worth the money, most especially for students and project managers of any type. I wish I had this when I was organizing my thesis and dissertation, as well as developing a prevention program funded by separate contracts. Also for novelists- writers of any kind. There are so few who can't benefit from it. Oh- and the other 2 competing softwares also have trial offers on their websites. You can check which fits your style best. I found this one to be the most organic and clutter free. The others were just too busy. Esp- SmartDraw I found was more complicated- instead of helping me flexibly use the program, they had templates for every possible conceivable thing. I guess if you just want a form... but I prefer a program that I can adapt to my needs each time I want it. To me, this one is the most userfriendly and versatile, a natural extension of my my mental processes... actually that's exactly it. Its like an extra limb- no thinking about thinking required. ... as bad as BG's MS word 2003
I used to love wordperfect. Now I regret using it for my PhD thesis (and spending research funds). Can't handle a 100 page document with graphs(how pathetic is that).

I have been a Wordperfect user since the release of 5 on a 486 machine.I have used 7,9,10,11,12 and now X13.I liked what they did to the icons and now the use of pdf in WP.Corel has enhanced these features, icons, and made them updated as well as made them more user friendly.I am a WP person and not a Microsoft Office user and plan to stay that way.They really made X13 much better and made it to still be easy to use and navigate with. Caveat Emptor
Used this in the past, and may again in the near future.One caveat, though. Spring for an attorney to review it before use, so it doesn't come back and bite you.

Easy and fast.
I used this software to create a handbook for the company where I am employed. I'm always pressed for time, and Policies Now was simple and quick. I created an entire handbook in no time. I receive email updates on changing HR laws from Knowlegde Point, which is helpful. Over 100 policies written in 2 hours

Slow and buggy
On the recommendation of a friend who uses an earlier version, I bought ACT! 2006. The product is very slow. Not only is ACT! itself slow, it appears to run a SQL runtime at system start, which on my system (a reasonably fast midrange system with a lot of memory) slowed down system startup, even when I wasn't using ACT!. ACT! was too unreliable to actually use for anything that mattered.

Like a pro
I purchased this software with the intention of writing my business plan for my start-up. The app was very helpful in steering my business plan in the correct direction. It guides you from the first written word to the end of the plan! This software holds your hand and makes it nearly impossible to create anything less then a professional business plan. Not very impressed with Simply Accounting Basic
I was hoping I'd like this more than the corporate bookkeeping system I currently use.We have an acccountant, but like to keep track of the day to day books and cash flow.I was hoping this would be a little easier on us (two of us handle bookkeeping and neither of us have a background in finance or accounting).

The Better Word Processor
I recently loaded the one month demo version of Corel WordPerfect Office X3. The main changes appear to be improved compatibility with other software. In addition, Corel changed the skin to make it look more like XP, added a Yahoo toolbar, and for those who need it, the WordCount feature is on the application bar at the bottom of the WordPerfect window. This new version appears to be very stable.My main complaint about the suite is that Corel after WordPerfect 10, Corel took out Quick View Plus, a very useful piece of software which would let you look at just about anything.

Somebody's Stuffing The Ballet Box
The last reviewer was correct in saying there's something fishy about the other reviews, especially those written by Burke Franklin. He gives all the products from JIAN 5 stars. Could it be because they published his book? (See "Business Blackbelt," by, you guessed it, Burke Franklin) As far as BizPlan 8 is concerned, it's okay if you happen to have a business that resembles their sample plans, but if you have a unique product or service, it's only marginally beneficial.

I am suspicious of most of the 8 users who wrote the reviews.I bought this product and it is not user friendly.It seems to be WORD, with categories for a business plan and types of business plans and a book on writing business plans. I am planning on returning it ASAP.When I looked at the written recommendations that were part of my decision to purchase this item, they are all written on one date and seem to be from one person!All of them with similar titles, ie, "software user from "city" and thecomments are all great.I think this might have been a promotion- GASP!Only one author of a review sounds like a real person and he rated it low.I too feel burned and will return this software and try another approach.

OCR and customer service
I bought this software in Jan '04 and I've had occasion to use it infrequently, fortunately for me. As noted in other reviews, it can recognize simple text such as in a book page w/o photos or tables. But add any boxes, tables or graphs and it stumbles badly and does a Bill Gates, simply locks up.
Works fine on simple text, not so on complex format.
Text recognition is very good on a simple, typewrited page but, hey, there are sharewares that do this for free. I tested Omnipage mainly on complex textbook pages with headers, 2 columns, figures with legends. I chose 240 dpi as a compromise between size and accuracy. The result:

Not bad, but no substitute for experience
I was trying to save a little time by using this software and I was a little disappointed. The sample business plans leave much to be desired.Still, its gives many examples of different types of businesses, which is ok if you are going into a business that is common (i.e. a retail store or food service). Just don't think you can create a business plan in a few hours that will attract investors.
