Program will NOT work with MAC OS 9

I've had very few problems with this software; mostly, using a US Robotics external voice modem, the caller ID isn't supported (which would be neat, as it can display incoming calls as a sticky). I was delighted that the program would let me record voice messages using the Andrea USB microphone I'd acquired with ViaVoice, for very clear messages. Works fine for me...
I have been using this software for about a year on my iMac DV. It has worked fine, and has more than paid for itself by allowing me to discontinue my phone company voicemail. I hope this, or another product with voicemail capabilities is developed for OS X. ... Read more

Best product on the market for remote control and file acces
Not only did I get remote control on an XP box BEHIND A FIREWALL, I can access files remotely from Laplink's Surfup service.Service is the key word here, I don't know any other place offering network services when you buy their off-the-shelf product.Laplink runs an ILS server so I can connect to my Laplink PC from anywhere on the Internet, and they run a firewall service so I can get to my home PC - behind a firewall.It's as easy as checking a box and creating a login-entry. I have Laplink versions on several systems now...
and have been using it for years with zero problems. It works for me--that's all I ask!

TOTAL DESTRUCTION
I could be home in bed. But I'm Fing around trying to undo the install of the biggest mistake I've made to date...purchasing, tossing money in the toilet for Nero7. The damage and the time it's taken to recover is about 20 times it's cost. Useless. I can't copy a disk. I can't burn and image. What's the deal???
Stick with Nero 5 or 6
Nero 7 wants to prevent you from generating ISO files and instead wants you to use its NRG CD backup file system. Then it doesn't want you to burn WAV onto CD but forces you to invest in MP3 encryption so that you can burn MP3 to CD. The software is full of these horrible twists that Nero has gone from the best burning rom to the worst burning rom by simply making it harder for you to do what you want. I rolled back to Nero 5.5 and had a fully functional and top of the line burning rom again.

NERO 7 -- A BUMMER
This software suite promises to do everything on earth, but doesn't tell us how.There is no useful help file.There are no tutorials or instructions on the website.And, Nero's support is a joke (just try to get a message through).I don't understand how a company that started out with the best burn program in the game has sunk to this. ... Web Magnet Is Great!
This is a very powerful tool for those who like todownload images and sound clips. You can add moresearch engines to it very easily. If you don't want to spend 5 hours surfing for specific images,let Web Magnet do it for you while you do other things. If things are out there Web Magnetwill get them for you automatically and in great abundance.There is ashort learning curve if you want to use it to your full advantage. You mustread the very nice manual that comes with it to get the most out of it.What this program does in essence is acts as a Master search engine thatutilizes other search engines to do its work. You can add as many newinternet search engines to it as you desire. These all work in parallel tofind what you want. They will follow links to other sites. You canconfigure Web Magnet to go down into a website to as many layers as youdesire, within reason of course. It can be configured to ignore slow sitesor include them. Minimum image size can be specified. All your downloadstuffis saved to special folders that you create. You can set it up touse specific file types that are cogent to your search. You can add filetypes to its file types lists. And now for a little downside stuff. I hadto rate this program with 5 stars because it is so very efficient and doeswhat it says it will do, and is extreemly easy to use. However there are acouple of small issues that I feel you who read this should be aware of.Like any search engine you should be very specific in the search text as towhat you are looking for and you might have to play around with words alittle for it to find what you want. Also like most search engines it willreturn to you some content that you have no wish for and that has nothingin reality with what you are searching for. In other words it is notperfect. But then nothing is. When I first ran this program my security logshowed that along with its normal search module it had another module thatjumped to the internet and connected to a site ... . I don't know if this is automaticregistration or what it is, but I don't like it doing this behind my back.I immediately configured a rule to block this site from receiving anythingfrom my comuter. This piece of information is for those who care. OtherwiseI am delighted ten times over with Web Magnet and would recommend it toanyone. I use a dial up connection and can only imagine how awsome thisprogram would be if connected to a DSL service.

Not Bad, Not Bad at All
I bought this title a couple of days ago. I gave it four out of five stars because the enrollment was a bit frustrating. The setup was as easy as pie. The enrollment took about 15 minutes, not the five they said. I had to read three stories about iinventors. Hey, it was worth the hassles. The second day that i used it, it went extremely well. It recognized 99% of what i was saying. The technology is great. When you say something, it processes first. It is a bit behind you though. You may be sayingsomething 2 or three sentences ahead of what it is typing. I recommend this product to anybody. You are getting a great buy for the price! Look, I'm typing with it right now!
