I waited a long time
Once I used Poser 4, running it under Virtual PC on a Mac (I refuse to use PCs unless at gunpoint, and only if the gun is loaded). So, the arrival of a nifty Mac version is like...'heaven'? Something like that. Only had it for a few days and still exploring. Lots of new stuff, lots of things rearranged, but, I feel, sensibly so. It makes it more complex, but the extra up-front learning effort will no doubt be worth it.
Not ready for prime time software
As a user of Poser 5 I'm quite familiar with the application. Om Mac OS 10.3 Poser 5 always performed flawlessly, but with OS 10.4 Poser 5 does not work at all (my contact with Curious Labs tech support confirms this). So I installed Poser 6 with OS 10.4 and immediately found that the application was incapable of identifying anything in its own libraries. Nor would it read the Python scripts.Two calls to Curious Labs and a lot of time spent going through the settings etc. with the very nice and highly competent gentleman there produced no improvement. Updating th OX 10.4.2 with Apple's download and two reinstallations of the software produced no results. There are clearly problems the manufacturer needs to address. Good company, usually top-notch products, but this iteration of Poser 6 does not measure up.

This looks good...
I have poser 5 and it is a wonderful program. It has great, easily, customizable human figures, and a small learning curve. When I baught it I thought there could be nothing better for an aspiring 3d guy (for lack of a better term), but then came poser 6. It includes all new figures poses, and more. It also has shadow catching and ambient occlusion. Another great feature is it has a rendered depth of feild feature, which adds a whole new depth of realism to your images. Poser 6 is a little on the expensive side, so if it's a little too much, buy Poser 5 which is a truly exquisite program. I think poser 6 will be wonderful, and I can't wait to buy it. ... Read more

Superior in every way to Power Point
Harvard graphics allows complete versatility to design the graph or chart you want, not the type of chart has pre-designed for you. You have complete control over every aspect of every graph. The X-axis can be numerical or titled which cannot be done in PowerPoint. This is important when making line graphs. When compared to PowerPoint, this is a far easier program to master.

If you are frustrated by the lack of data charting capabilities in PowerPoint and Excel, this package is for you.In terms of data charting capabilities, this is the only package that surpasses the old Harvard Graphics for DOS that was King of the DOS World.It is far superior to the data charting capabilities in Freelance and 1-2-3 as well.I haven't used a recent verison of Corel Presentations so I can't comment on that. ... Great new feature, same old warts, but worth it
There are some compelling reasons to upgrade to Visio 2000 if you're using an earlier version of Professional.Here are some of my favorite features that I did not have in version 5.5 include the ability to quickly lay out deployment diagrams and create more precise drawings with the dynamic grid feature.It lets you distribute and align shapes on pre-defined grid templates (or ones of your own making). It also has automatic shape numbering, which I find very useful when I am creating a complex flow or process chart.I include a legend in the drawing that corresponds with the numbered shapes to further clarify that is happening.Read more

It contains information, but is it software?
While sold as software, this is a hastily assembled conglomerate of information and some poor (in both content and formating) examples of documents. They have not even bothered to put any dialogs to help the user insert automatically trivial information (names, locations, dates,...) into the documents. A good reference guide for typical legal problems.
Nolo offers great guides for specific legal issues related to personal and business use.This guide is a decent tool for users to call upon for typical small business issues.I must warn though, that not all legal questions and problems can be solved using self-help guides.Be realistic in your expectations of the software and it should serve you well.

Not as advertised, simply a watered-down online book
I was, unfortunately, very disappointed in the offerings of this product.I was under the impression that it would have a number of ready-made business forms I could customize for use in my business (contracts, amendments to the corporate charter, etc).That was not the case.This product is more of an online-book with very generic and watered-down information than anything else.If you were thinking of purchasing this product for their "forms," don't. ... Don't even think about it
Do not buy this program. Version 8 is a complete rewrite to support Unicode and is definitely not ready for prime time. We tried version 8.0.1 where I work and computers are crashing, libraries are not opening up and saving properly on network drives, the program itself is slow and clunky and annoying even when it's working. Best software for Flowcharts
I have been usingFlowCharter 7 for years and have found it to be very easy to use.
