NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO AS ADVERTISED
First, I should have listened to my instincts and downloaded the trial version BEFORE purchasing.Had I done this I would HAVE NEVER purchased this product.As it is, having bought the product from a box store and NOT online, I made a $99.00 mistake, plus tax.
A product that has a future ... but just not there yet.
Add fairly good add-on and support for Power Point presentations, but it does currently have limited things to offer.
Too robust for machines older than a year
I use PowerPoint a great deal as a teacher and thought this would upgrade my presentations. Unfortunately, every one of my computers had insufficient video memory to allow the software to work. Not the greatest
Barely worth the money. I've never used PC based ebay software, so I cannot compare it to that. iSale is clunky, it's developers are in Germany, and it seems all the German companies I have to deal with love to ignore emails. It has taken iSale 3 days or more to answer a simple question. You can't call, because its international and a different time zone. Its a bit confusing to install and use, such as being asked a yes or no question, then your button options have nothing to do with yes or no. The widget info is never the same as the actual info. It won't see a bid or won't detect watchers. The main reason I got it, which it suffices for, is I can input partial bits of info on items over a period of time before I decide to list it, and it writes the html for me of text size and color. It has refused to list sometimes, giving me an error message with no rhyme or reason, then I have to go back to ebay and list through them. It also gives wrong information when listing more than one photo, it will not add the cost of the extra photos, its only after it is listed that you see how much it really cost to list. There is no indication of your seller account fee amount when you list either.

Nice to look at but useless as a serious tool
This app has a very nice looking interface and is useful for light use.It's functionality is elementary, it lacks power and flexibility, and it is relatively expensive (it's competitor GarageSale, while not as flashy, costs $24.99).As previous reviews have stated, you can't edit a running auction from within the applications and you have to go to eBay's site.
Lipstick on a Chicken
All right, eBay's interface just keeps getting clunkier and clunkier. But don't think iSale is going to keep you fromhaving to learn how to deal directly with eBay. Sure, for the simplest of auctions, you can *learn* the iSale interface instead of eBay's. It's prettier and did win an Apple *Design* award, but when it comes to full-fledged functionality it falls flat. In particular, there is utterly no support for making revisions to a running ad. If you're lucky, you can go to eBay, learn how to edit there, and make changes. But don't count on it if you've taken "advantage" of iSale's style sheets. They just add to the problem. iSale submits listings according to eBay's Application Programming Interface (API) in XML, and if you can't directly edit XML you're up the creek. One of my ads slipped past iSale and got accepted by eBay even though the Item Condition field was null. From that point on I could edit NOTHING (not even the Condition) and eBay finally allowed me to cancel the ad for credit.

Somebody's Stuffing The Ballet Box
The last reviewer was correct in saying there's something fishy about the other reviews, especially those written by Burke Franklin. He gives all the products from JIAN 5 stars. Could it be because they published his book? (See "Business Blackbelt," by, you guessed it, Burke Franklin) As far as BizPlan 8 is concerned, it's okay if you happen to have a business that resembles their sample plans, but if you have a unique product or service, it's only marginally beneficial.

Novice - user from Phoenix
I am suspicious of most of the 8 users who wrote the reviews.I bought this product and it is not user friendly.It seems to be WORD, with categories for a business plan and types of business plans and a book on writing business plans. I am planning on returning it ASAP.When I looked at the written recommendations that were part of my decision to purchase this item, they are all written on one date and seem to be from one person!All of them with similar titles, ie, "software user from "city" and thecomments are all great.I think this might have been a promotion- GASP!Only one author of a review sounds like a real person and he rated it low.I too feel burned and will return this software and try another approach.

It's not Quickens fault!
[02/21/1999] A federal judge in Texas has moved to out law Quicken Family Lawyer, a legal software program. The reason. It was too helpful. Judge Barefoot Sanders determined that by helping people fill our their legal documents, the program treads illegally on lawyers' turf. Specifically, it violates law that bar anyone but licensed lawyers from giving legal advise. The case was brought by a lawyers' group, whose interest is clear enough. Lawyers typically charge anywhere from $100 to $650 an hour. Quicken costs $29.95 for life.
I Am Disappointed
I just purchased Quicken Home and Small Business Legal Suite 2003.I am surprised that the software is no longer supported and that no updates are available.I am also surprised that there is not a residential lease document.There was a residential lease document in Quicken Business Lawyer 2000.

Terrible customer service and technical support
Unnervingly bad customer service and technical support make this product more than just a waste of money.This product will cost you time and effort.I suggest Palo Alto software's Market Plan Pro and Ad Plan Pro as an alternative. This is a VERY STRONG product!

It contains information, but is it software?
While sold as software, this is a hastily assembled conglomerate of information and some poor (in both content and formating) examples of documents. They have not even bothered to put any dialogs to help the user insert automatically trivial information (names, locations, dates,...) into the documents. A good reference guide for typical legal problems.
Nolo offers great guides for specific legal issues related to personal and business use.This guide is a decent tool for users to call upon for typical small business issues.I must warn though, that not all legal questions and problems can be solved using self-help guides.Be realistic in your expectations of the software and it should serve you well.
