Like a kiss, fun but it doesn't last long!
Product installs easy and is easy to use.Placed 3 of these at front desk of medical facilities, scanning dozens of cards daily.Two have died after about 12-14 months service. Tried one a trade show and got about 80% of info into correct fields, so it does save some typing.

Doesn't print pages as advertised.
The Cardscan Executive advertises that it will print in all the typical planner formats, Daytimer, Dayrunner, Franklin etc. It doesn't do what it says. The right edge of the page is cut off losing important information like half a phone number or half an email address. Technical Support was no help, they said "it's a defect with the program". None of the advertised formats on the pull down menu worked, or using the edit format feature. Users cannot change the width of the fields. Other than that it's a pretty cool product.

SAGE has done a lousy job with this product!
SAGE will not support their products without an additional fee, and, their product is so goofy that you will need support at some point to get it to work, or to get it back to work after it locks up.This version will not run on my AMD processor based computer and SAGE's only strategy is to have me purchase their newest version of ACT! in hopes that it will run on this machine.I am looking into converting my files over to run in Outlook, so long SAGE!!!

ACT acts out
May I add my voice to the many others regarding the ACT software program. After years of limping along with ACT I'm tired of the terrible customer support, the awkward, unintuitive features of use, the data corruption, the high price tag, the lack of improvement in the product, and the clunky interfacing with Outlook email. I hope someone at the company is listening. They seem to be chasing corporate customers and have forgotten the small users.

Worst upgrade I have ever purchased. I own a small software company and have been creating and using software since I left college in 1981. The software is slow on even a 4800+ AMD dual core processor. I can no longer load my company data on our NAS box; plus it has corrupted our data twice and even Best Software was unable to help me recover it. I have wiped it from our systems and toss out any upgrade notices for the latest version. ... Read more

This is a good program that has aged poorly.
Now Up To Date & Contact (NUTD) is a contact manager and calendering program written for Mac users. First written for Mac OS 9, it was the best choice when there were few options. Windows users had Act! but Mac users did not yet have iCal or Entourage. NUTD is simple enough to start using quickly. It is has a number of options to let you customise the data fields, create your own templates for letters and faxes and it can be net worked with other members of your company or organization. It can be used with Palm devices but NUTD conduits conflict with iCal and Entourage conduits. The NUTD support site lists the other conduits with which it conflits.
Excellent enterprise calendar
The interface is easy to work with and is clear and straight forward. Except for a few glitches when upgrading from version 3.0 this has been a stable program. Palm sync feature is nice, overall the software is almost as good as Entourage from Microsoft, but this app allows for network calendaring over the internet and within your LAN, Entourage does not. ...
