MS Money 2005 Beware- Bugs, Flaws & General Issues
Money 2003 was an awesome product and I dropped Quicken after 6 years to use it. But the latest version that incorporates business forms and accounts should have remained in beta.
Stay away!!
Don't make the mistake of buying this product. Learn from my mistake, I lost my hard earned $90 on this useless buggy piece of software.

Finally after years ....
Finally after years and years of amatuerish programming they have a half decent
Not Fast, Not Easy, Pray It's Accrurate
Most reviews I have read say that this is the best tax software for the Macintosh.That is a very sad state of affairs.

Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice ...
I used H&R Block TaxCut for 2002 for Mac OS and it was really bad ... buttons didn't work, the update feature didn't work for California state, things didn't print correctly. It was very, very lame. I swore I'd never use it again ... but then Intuit managed to become even more arrogant last year (I forget what they did THIS time) and I got fed up with their taking Mac users for granted. So, based on some decent reviews here for TaxCut for 2004 (I saw these reviews about a month or so ago), I decided to give it one last try. Well, "last try" is right. This program just doesn't cut it, especially not for something as sensitive as doing one's taxes. The 2004 version is better than the 2002, at least (small compliment) but TurboTax is still far and away smoother, less buggy, clearer, and much better at giving you a sense that it's not bolloxing your taxes up. Examples: TaxCut's update feature is not clear; it prompts you to update the software at regular intervals (good), but instead of saying, "you're already up-to-date" it says "there are no updates planned" (confusing). I couldn't e-file my state income tax because of a bug (and judging from H&R Block's support website, this is a bug that appears in many places). Their solution was very consistent: print your return and mail it. So much for e-filing. There were several places where the software asked me to pick a number from a table, or decide which form to use. Isn't that what the software is supposed to do? It gives "error-check" warnings where there is no apparent problem (at least I hope there isn't; neither the Help or the error itself gave much of a clue). And there were several places where both the interface and the Help provide muddy and unclear instructions. TaxCut ended up wasting a lot of my time, turning a fairly straightforward return into an ordeal. As much as I loathe Intuit, I'm afraid that, for FY2005, I'm going to have to once again grit my teeth, curse under my breath, and pay too much for the greater confidence, fewer bugs, and smoother experience of TurboTax. Not only of a very high quality, but save $$$ on licenses
I agree 100% with the previous reviewers in the fact that OpenOffice, Firefox, and the other main packages are rich in features and of a very good quality.Even if Microsoft stuff would be free of charge, I'd prefer these packages 10 to 1 over Microsoft, precisely because of quality.
Good but save your money
Okay maybe if your connection is slow or you don't have access to broadband you can buy this CD,but if not why bother?
Open Office and FireFox, wonderful software, excellent value
Open Office reads and writes in MS Office 97/2000/XP formats for Word, Excel and PowerPoint and can export documents to PDF format.

Great Product!!Easy to use.

At first glance it seems like a impressive product, but using it quickly identified that it wasn't ready for release to consumers. Very Buggy and no replies from email support
I am an advanced computer user who sells on eBay. This program seemed like a great time saver. Create auctions and upload nicely laid out pages with multiple pictures and save money too! Sounds great! Don't think so. Every auction I've uploaded requires revisions thru eBay's site with pretty deep HTML editing. I give it 2 stars because it has nice templates which can be edited, you can insert multiple pictures at no charge (you better have an moderate understanding of HTML though) and it has improved my HTML skills (that was never my mission here). You'd be better off buying HTML for Dummies if that is your interest.Read more
