MYOB Still the Leader
Intuit treat me (their customer) with complete contempt. Every year they make piecemeal upgrades to their software instead of sitting down to do the job properly with major releases every 3 to 4 years. MYOB is the small business accounting leader outside the US. My take is that MYOB spend their money on PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT whereas Intuit spend their money on ADVERTISING. I am a MYOB convert. The package is robust and has more features than Quickbooks. Still really the only choice for MULTIPLE CURRENCIES. Minor whiney comments like "doesn't print duplicate invoices" (ever heard of multipart forms???) just don't stack up. Software is very stable and quite intuitive.Excellent reporting features.
Ok for extremely small companies
We purcahsed this to do forecasting for our company.However, I quickly found it extremley limited for doing forecasting.For small home businesses this may be ok. After doing more research and reading reviews I use DecisionPro by Vanguard Software. Whatever you decide - avoid the Excel plug-in software programs out there altogether - those are worthless. ... Incredibly powerful!
As I'm reading all the reviews, it seems the negative ones are written by people that are basically of "lower than average" IQ, and unable to RTFM. Outrageous customer care expense... $ 70. per call

"Please send us $19.99 for an imcomplete software package"
should be their marketing call.After I spent $19.99 for this, I went to writeoff a computer I donated to a school.A message popped up, "You must pay $10 to get the "Computer and Electronics" part of this program." ITSDISGUSTIBLE
Beware. Only until after I had purchased this product did I find out it was restricted to one use, one year only. You cannot use it for other members of your family household. Smacks of the earlier attempt by TurboTax to limit use of that product to a single computer, the one on which it was registered.I am tired of such antic$. I have switched to TAXCUT and also returned this one. needs improvement, but still worthwhile
