Horrible Software
I bought a 5-user package.The technical support is beyond bad.I should have a noticed when the first thing Joane said was "who is your consulting partner for tech support?".Run from this program!We are going back to the old Act 6.0 (new Act is just as bad as Goldmine).We have a very experienced IT guy and he said "this is the worst program I've ever seen." ... Like a kiss, fun but it doesn't last long!
Product installs easy and is easy to use.Placed 3 of these at front desk of medical facilities, scanning dozens of cards daily.Two have died after about 12-14 months service. Tried one a trade show and got about 80% of info into correct fields, so it does save some typing.

Doesn't print pages as advertised.
The Cardscan Executive advertises that it will print in all the typical planner formats, Daytimer, Dayrunner, Franklin etc. It doesn't do what it says. The right edge of the page is cut off losing important information like half a phone number or half an email address. Technical Support was no help, they said "it's a defect with the program". None of the advertised formats on the pull down menu worked, or using the edit format feature. Users cannot change the width of the fields. Other than that it's a pretty cool product.

This is a good program that has aged poorly.
Now Up To Date & Contact (NUTD) is a contact manager and calendering program written for Mac users. First written for Mac OS 9, it was the best choice when there were few options. Windows users had Act! but Mac users did not yet have iCal or Entourage. NUTD is simple enough to start using quickly. It is has a number of options to let you customise the data fields, create your own templates for letters and faxes and it can be net worked with other members of your company or organization. It can be used with Palm devices but NUTD conduits conflict with iCal and Entourage conduits. The NUTD support site lists the other conduits with which it conflits.
Excellent enterprise calendar
The interface is easy to work with and is clear and straight forward. Except for a few glitches when upgrading from version 3.0 this has been a stable program. Palm sync feature is nice, overall the software is almost as good as Entourage from Microsoft, but this app allows for network calendaring over the internet and within your LAN, Entourage does not. ... Business Planning- a tool for success
The ABS Ultimate Business Planner 2.0 provides an excellent tool for the experienced or novice individual who is challenged to write a well organized business plan. While the tool may not work for all who want to add a special flair or the business does not require all the facets as what the plan calls for, the tool does make you think- "how does this apply to my business?"
The Program works great!!!!
I used Ulitmate Business Planner to get the money I need to build my hotel. The lending institute was very pleased with the layout of the business plan, on how easy it was to read and follow. I would recommend this software to anyone. If you want to save your self some time, this is the program to get.

This software was chosen by Intuit for QuickBooks
I currently use another software program by Atlas Business Solutions called Customer Appointment Manager for our practice and became aware of Ultimate Business Planner through their website. As a CPA, I run into clients who need business plans all the time. I recently purchased QuickBooks Premier 2004 only to discover that Ultimate Business Planner is a "beefed up" standalone version of what's included in QuickBooks Premier (Atlas Business Solutions and Intuit must have some sort relationship). I recommend Ultimate Business Planner to all my clients. It's easy to use and does a fantastic job. Since Ultimate Business Planner was chosen by Intuit, I know it has to be the best business plan software on the market.

Solid Software
I use this software for helping start-up businesses.I find it is easier to work with than Business Plan Pro and the Financial Forcasting software is VERY accurate.The print-outs are very professional and it is very easy to change numbers and projections.I recommend this for new business owners.Those with a lot of business experience or business degrees can use this and feel confident in the information.

easy way to write a business plan
I had no idea how or where to start writing a business before I purchased this software.Wasn't sure which package to go with and this one seemed like a reasonable deal.After installing, I discovered that writing a plan isn't so difficult.The software guided me through every step by interviewing me along the entire way.When I finished, I hit the print button and out came my completed business plan.The plan looks great with the addition of my color graphics and charts.I definitely recommend this software. ... DataPilot Stinks!
I am extremely disappointed with this product! I just installed DataPilot and used it to transfer numbers from my laptop to my phone. Unfortunately, what SusTeen's marketing BS never tells you is that the product strips out all the additional stuff your specific phone uses before it writes it back to your phone. So in my particular case, I lost all the voice recognition data assigned to each phone number. Not to mention, it does not accept special characters for "pause" or "wait" used to access voicemail. Now I am forced to go back and reedit all my numbers. This product is supposed to save you time and make it easier to manager your phone data, but all it did for me was make more work! ... Read more

Should be called Silvermine
I have used Goldmine for quite a few years in my business. It shows great promise, but it has caused many problems. Lost 2 years of email records. My fault? Maybe. My backups did not go back that far and the problem was not evident for a long time. I am an advaced computer user, built all office computers and networks. Lots of problems with email rules. Works, then does not right out of the blue. You just never know where it going to bite you. Read the fixes in the updates. It is just getting too complicated as FrontRange seems to prefer features over stability. Yes I tried posting in support forums. Good luck. Tried other forums, much better. Seems to me that they dish out the product and then depend on the resellers to clean up after themselves, at user expense. Lots of features for the price if you don't add in support costs. Had sync problems, never resolved. I gave up and do not sync. Maybe that is how I lost the email records. One reseller replied to me that he had experienced the same problem and it was never resolved. Hope it is a Goldmine for you, silver or copper mine for me.

GoldMine is Great Bang for the $$ if installed properly
I must disagree with the 1 star product rating given by the man from New York.GoldMine does work very well for small to very large businesses IF properly installed by a GoldMine Partner.Many of the failed installations my company fixes are due to poor "self-installs" by customers.For a network install this is not an "out of the box" solution and planning, proper implementation AND training are keys to successful use. Partners go through extensive product certifications for a reason, to know the product and install it properly.
