All of the World is Divided into Three Parts
All of the world is divided into three parts, Microsoft Word users, WordPerfect users and non-computer users.Being in the WordPerfect camp, I feel somewhat compelled to attempt to convert the Word crowd.If you are using Word, and you don't require all the "prodding whether you want it or not" that the Word program provides for formatting, spelling, etc., then WordPerfect is really something you should try and the Family Pack 3 is a nice way to go.As compared to Word, WordPerfect is a "cleaner" word processing program and is easier to use.All the tools are there, spell check, formatting and grammar help, they're just not as intrusive as they are in Word.I also prefer Quattro Pro, the spreadsheet program over Microsoft's Excel.When Quattro Pro was first introduced by Borland (a long time ago!) it was hands down better than Excel in graphing and analysis.While Excel has narrowed the gap, Quattro Pro still leads the way.This is a strong package at a very attractive price.

Forgot the difficult Address Book
As I said before it is great - BUT - to address an envelope is now difficult - in WordPerfect 6 it was easy.So far (about 1 week) I haven't been able to figure it out.But it still beats Word 2002 by a mile, which, "in a Word" stinks.

Sure beat MS Word
After paying [the money] for the Office XP "Upgrade", which included Word 2002, I was very disappointed.The upgraded Access and Excel didn't have very much new to offer.After using WordPerfect 6 for sometime, I thought the "latest" Word would be a vast improvement.It isn't. To add a caption to a picture is just about impossible.The two just won't stay together - I finally found a horribly round-about means of doing it, but it didn't look good and I finally gave up.Don't believe what is in the manual or what is "taught" in other manuals.

Buy a book instead
This is probably the buggiest piece of software I've ever used. It has taken me about 2 to 3 times longer to get a resume I can actually use than it would have taken if I bought a decent book and typed it by hand in a word processor. There are plenty of suggested phrases and some of them are pretty good, but it looks like they just gleaned them all from existing resumes (they have an online posting service) rather than actually wrote them specifically (some have spelling and punctuation mistakes, and some are just awful). No Video Functions for the Download Version! Crashes!
I bought the download version last week from individual software's official site. After using it, have the following feelings: A great resume maker. Outstanding helping tool.

Can' Figure It Out
Although I was able to use this software on my old computer, when I tried to install it on my new computer the serial number I had already used on the old computer was rejected on the new one. I was able to install one CD out of four without keying in the serial number. I emailed Corel.com and they were of no help even though I'm registered with them. So I say, the heck with it. I'll continue using my Microsoft wordprocessing software.

Not the full version of WP 10!
This package states that it comes with WordPerfect 10 and nowhere does it say that it is anything but the FULL version.But it is NOT!After installing, I was astounded to learn that there is NO search function (Quickfinder)!I don't consider searching files to be some "full featured professional" function that can just be dropped from a "home" version-- it's pretty basic stuff.How Corel can just drop it is beyond me.Oh sure, it may be some third-party software that would have additional licensing fees, but give me a break!What good is a word processor without the ability to search its own files?!?! Shame on COREL!

Unsupported Crippleware
Corel claims this product contains WP10.The version is not the same as that shipped with its office products.It is slow. Generation of pdf files brings a 1.2 GHz, 512 MB mem system to its knees.It hangs while printing.Patches are not apparent on the Corel web site. ... Read more

If it was free, I wouldn't use it.!
Definitely a waste, no help at all. Crank up yourMicrosoft word and get a book called "How to say It...In your job search" by Robbie Miller Kaplan. Now that is worth every penny!

Don't Waste Your Money!
Not at all user friendly.Job categories are VERY limited and do not include several major categories in today's market! Could be better.
Winway Resume 6.0 is not very user friendly. They could've made things alot more easier with a more advanced tool bar for short cuts. The templatesare good, but I recommend allowing users to keep their font styles whilethey switch between themes instead of losing their font settings and havingto start all over. When you make changes to font styles in certain sections(address and phone number section for example), the font changes only applyto the line you edited (address)instead of the whole section (address andphone number). I am also getting error messages from Windows 98 when I tryto print:"Winway caused an invalid page fault GDI.exe the program willbe terminated". Sometimes I'm able to print, but several other timesthe program just shuts down! I downloaded the free updates before I eventried the software. Unfortunately, none of the updates had anything to dowith my current problem. I hope they get this ironed out soon. If yourbuying this software thinking it will get you a job, your wrong. Full featured replacement for MS Word - at much less $$$
If you're not wedded to MS products then this is definitely worth your time to examine (they also have a trial period demo at their website... What I like: small (no 100 MB install), fast, flexible, "save as" includes a PDF option, nice dictionaries already included.They also have a utility called "Drop Doc" which will automatically convert any MS Word file (.doc) to an RTF file that is then opened flawlessly by Write.So, now you can convert all those old documents without any difficulties.Read more
