5-0 out of 5 stars Pajama Sam 2 review
It's a pretty good game. I even asked Humongous Entertainment if they could base PJ Sam 4 on this, but they ignored my E-mail. Probaly because Artari made it. I think it's a really good game for kids and I'm dissapointed that I didn't see any kids reviews. I'm the first one to write a kid review on this! Wow! I'm not going to tell you the basic plot because practicly every other review mentions it. I really like how you sneak in, because I'm always making stories where kids are sneaking in places, unalowed. It's funny how the crowbar is useful so many times. I like the Snowflake Inspector Detector and I wish he was still there when the Snowflake Inspector's corned by the dust devil, but I didn't get what Pajama Sam ment when he said it reminded him of the villian on Pajama Man. I really love when Y-Pipe gets locked in the locker, but it took me a long time to figure out how you find out a birth date with an apple and it intrests me he's in Foster Boomdoggle's locker because it's the same name on the card he found. I also like the suggestions part when you press #2 on the phone. Sincerly, Russian Blue Witch.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great software for my 3-year-old child!
This Clifford Reading software is really great for my 3-year-old child. She is able to play all the games herself and navigate around the screens easily without me helping her, which is great for when I have other work to do. We had a problem with the Richard Scarry software; there was just too much going on visually (great for books, confusing for click navigation) and this one is better in that regard. It is visually more obvious where you are to click or what to do, and the narration by Emily Elizabeth is clear and helpful. The games are cute. She loves the T-shirt stamper animation after correctly spelling a 3-letter word. Second favorite is "pop the balloon that says 'xxx'" and you have to correctly pop several word ballons that float by in order to dunk Clifford in the carnival dunk tank. What kid doesn't love being allowed to pop a bunch of balloons and then making a dog swim? This software makes learning the words really fun instead of frustrating. The beginning level is challening but not too hard; she can still win the prize tickets and get a prize/present from the big carnival claw-grabber prize bin. The prize/present unwraps itself and is a printable item like a coloring page, abc dot-to-dot, colorable finger puppets, etc. You can color these on-screen and/or print them out, and they are automatically saved for you in case you want to print them out later. Overall, I really love this software, it was a great purchase, and I am definitely buying it for all of the other kids I know as well as checking out all of the other Clifford titles. Great!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first reading progam for pre-schoolers and kindergarten
As well as all the games which my 5 year old kids find addictive, there are also 26 mini lessons on each letter of the the alphabet and lots of mini stories to read. So there is some hard core education for parents to assist children and its not just all easy peasy games pitched at very young children.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good...but...
My 5 year old daughter is enjoying this package, BUT...be aware that on Windows XP and Windows 2000 that the program has to be installed AND run as a user with administrative rights. Not exactly the kind of account I would choose to setup for a small child.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing.
The description led us to believe that the game was much more interactive than it actually was. Our almost 6 year old was bored with it the first time she played it. The game reads the words on the screen and has limited opportunities to click on the screen for other words to appear. There were no options for reading each section and then having confirmation, practicing how to spell, etc. Overall, a waste of our money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and fun!
Our two year old really likes this and kept asking to "watch ABC's on the computer."It includes a reading of the book, which is more involved than the video (which we also like) as well as an interactive part that our little one does not use yet.It is a nice complement to the book and I expect we will get quite a bit of use out of the interactive part in a year or so.Even though it is an old program it works fine with XP for us.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great rhyme's and hilarious illustrations!
I say only Dr. Seuss and Living Books could make the alphabet so unpredictably entertaining. I do like the fact that it contains more than 400 alphabetically inspired surprises hidden within 26 pages that shows children learning words and letters which can be fun and silly at the same time!

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Fun
My daughter(7) and I had alot of fun playing this game. Teaches thinking and logic, but in a fun way with great graphics!

2-0 out of 5 stars hard to get to work
This is a very fun game, my kids love it.However, it took hours of research and trial and error to get it to partially work on my computer.Any newer computer, with newer color qualities will not work easily. You can eventually turn enough stuff off that it works, but then the sound is difficult to understand. Then when you are done playing, you have to go back into your system and turn things on again.

I just purchased this game last week and it has taken me until today to figure out how to make it run on my Windows XP computer.I think I have a solution for some of you.1st go into the systray and close all unnecessary programs that are running in the background (especially the virus software). Then click on the start button and scroll down until you find the Mountain Rescue program then right click on the actual icon and scroll down to Properties.Click on the Compatability tab and then check the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for: click on the tab on the right side of the textbox to get the pull down menu and select Windows 98/Windows Me then click OK.Your program should now run.Hope this works for you. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great software
I bought this for my 8-year-old to spend more time practicing math. My son likes math and he likes playing this software. He asks to play it rather than needing to be prodded, as he was with the Math & Science Excelerator I bought for the same purpose. Even the neighborhood kids come to play it with him. I would also recommend it for kids having trouble with math as it puts the concepts into visual perspective, rather than just repeating equations. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great starter game
this is a great game to help introduce a child to the computer. the games are simple enough to learn and work and does seem to keep their attention (if they are a girl anyway)the best way to learn how to use a computer is to get on one and play w it. i do not think an older child w a great deal of computer experience would enjoy it, unless they were a my little pony fan.

Gentle jungle murmurings overlaid with Robert Guillaume's gleeful voice give this solid, well-conceived typing program an unusual degree of appeal and staying power. While smacking bugs, catching grubs, and tearing away from dangerous enemies, kids are actually practicing the same fundamental skill-based keyboard activities as covered by such adult titles as Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. Some terrific components of this program include shadows that display which finger should be used to hit each key, a clock ticker that counts the seconds in each two-minute game, and the blissful fact that hitting the space bar will fast-forward you past the opening and closing credits. The mysterious, leafy jungle setting is delightfully alive, yet you'll likely need to turn the brightness on your monitor way up to see all the vital buttons hidden in the dark corners of the scene.Be forewarned: to truly conquer touch-typing, you need to drive those keyboard strokes deep into the body's muscular memory. Endless repetition is the only proven method for this. That means that while this program boasts five unique activities (for example, Rafiki gives "lessons" while Timon and Pumbaa play "games"), it is all keyboard practice, again and again. Kids receive encouragement with an enticing visual environment, progress reports, certificates, and frequent enthusiastic comments from Guillaume, but it is ultimately going to fall upon the parents to see that their children continue with this when the going gets, well, Read more

I got this for my children and it seemed great.Very shortly thereafter I retired the old PC they were using and upgraded (to a PIII 500) so I could safely give them limeted Internet access.Part of that upgrade was to use Win2K Pro for web security.None of their Disney CDs are compatible above Win98.Good software but incompatible in the new millenium."Disney... surely you can do better than this." 5-0 out of 5 stars Wow! I'm impressed..........
My 8 year old girl has several Disney princess games and they're stupid, so I was skeptical about this. Way better then Disney. It's an excellent game, my daughter plays all the time. In fact the whole family likes to play it. From my 3 year old son to my "tough guy" husband. We like decorating cakes and making stain glass windows in a thousand different ways. The graphics, color, and sound are great. I highly recommend it. We have not experienced a bug like another reviwer did. I have not experienced that on any of my games.

My daughter loves this game. She got it for christmas last year when she was 5 1/2.She still loves this game. And what I loved was that it took her a few days to finish, unlike some other games that she finished in one sitting, which is really frustrating to her, cause after playing the Princess and the Pauper, she kind of expects all the games to be great and have lots of things to do.The graphics are pretty cool, and there are lots of things to do, from making cakes, to making pretty stained glass windows, to decorating rooms, planting flowers and watering them and watching them grow, playing with and grooming the cats, helping the neighborhood people with tasks, and so much more, I can go on and on.I have no complaints about this game.My daughter has a nice collection of computer games, and this one is by far the best one yet!You definitely will not be wasting your money on this game!

5-0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun, fun, fun, with Princess and the Pauper CD-ROM!
I LOVE Princess and the Pauper! I love to have fundecoratin'the castle and makin' cakes and stained-glass windows.Overall this game is wonderful and educational!Beautiful, too! My favorite part of the game is the coronation and the little song. Unlike other people, I haven't hit that bug at all. I think it's something about ''no lip-synch data'' and ''giving people flowers''. After all, who would give a bad singer flowers?!?!? (well maybe a few....)PS: I might even buy the movie Princess and the Pauper! Because I love the game soooooooo much!!!This game is definetly #1 ! (: 'BARBIE LOVER' :) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars XP tips
This was my favorite game as a kid. I learned a lot from it, and I remember it as being fun. Now I'm a teen and I'm testing to see if the game works on Windows XP so I can give the game away (as an AP history student, I've outgrown it). It works witha few modifications. The day you install it, only play 2 cases; the third one freezes. Also, when you have to insert the second disk it tends to freeze. It will save your cases though, so just restart your computer, put in the second disk, and play. As a general rule, I wouldn't play more than about four, possibly five cases at a time. Also ignore the horrible synching, the characters aren't really mouthing the words they're saying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
I have owned this game since I was five years old, and I'll tell ya' something: No matter how long Iv'e owned this game, (as long as I don't play it more than seven times a year) I never get sick of it! It's just one of those games that is incredibly fun every time you play it. It is also the perfect length, not too short, but not so long that you get bored. It is a two-disc game, with nine levels on the first disc, and nine on disc two. All of the levels are so different, that you can never get sick of it. Another score is that Amazon offers new, factory-sealed copies of it for VERY low prices. So, since Iv'e owned it for a very long time, take my advice and get your copy of one of the best games ever created.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Game Ever
I bought this game because I was bored. And my parents wanted me to buy an educational game. I played it, exepecting to be scared, ( I was in second grade and Carmen terrified me.)but it ended up, once I beat it, I played it over again! And again, and again, and again! I love Carmen's games now ever since I played this one. I am in middle school now, and there are things I learned in this game my teachers didn't cover bacause it was " too advanced " If you are a student reading this review, beg your parents for this game. If you are a parent, beg your kids to buy it. Once they beat it, you play it! My parents learned things when I asked for help. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars love it!
i have two kids ages 6 and 4 and we have had this game for over 4 years. we love it! we have had numerous other computer games but this one is right up there in our top two. my 4 year old still loves all the games (bubble castle and baby basket bingo are favs), and my 6 year old is still into the alphabet train. i love making music, the little ducks are my favorite! adorable sights and sounds in this game. beware though, the tunes from this are going to get stuck in your head for days, but are cute so it's worth it.:)

5-0 out of 5 stars From a Grandmother's point of view
This program is totally interactive. My grandson -- who is two and a half and has a two and a half year old's attention span spent 25 to 30 minutes at a time playing with the shapes and bubble castle.A wonderful experience

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Wonderful
My grandson just turned 3.He loves this CD.It is easy for him to use because he doesn't need to click the mouse. It is still difficult for him to hold the mouse steady when he clicks. If the mouse moves, he doesn't get a response and then gets very frustrated. This CD eliminates that problem. The activities are great fun for him.He likes the coloring and the "bubble castle" best.I highly recommend this CD. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars works fine on XP
Another reviewer here claims that I can Read With Phonics does not install easily on Microsoft Windows XP.NOT TRUE!I have XP and every Reader Rabbit game works perfectly on it.I own just about everyone out there, and my son (age 5) is a great fan of the reader rabbit software. This game does an excellent job of teaching reading and phonics in a fun way.If you have a child ready to learn to read, get this game! You won't regret it!And you can get it so cheap here on amazon, too.I paid a lot more a couple of years ago. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!
I love this game my 7 year old son just beat this game and he is so happy! The puzzles are hard enough to make kids really think, but it isn't too complicated.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another excellent episode
My daughter and I have loved every Spy Fox game (in fact, every Humongous game), and this one is no exception. Now that it has dropped into the bargain bin price point, there is no reason not to buy it.James Bond-type jokes and spy action, with a completely kid-friendly feel. The box says ages 5 to 8, and that's right - a five-year-old might need you there beside them (which I promise you will enjoy), while a seven or eight-year-old can do it all themselves. They might need you to explain some of the jokes, though. ...
