One of Two Top Software My Daughter Loves
Right along with the Giggles software this is the highest ranking software for my 3-year-old daughter. As Giggles taught her mouse movement and clicks, Kid Pix Delux has given her a new freedom of interactivity. While she can drag and drop amazing backgrounds, she loves to create lines and circles as they stretch and make goofy sounds. I set this program to automatically start when she turns on her computer. For some reason she loves to exit out of Kid Pix Delux first, go to Giggles (search Amazon for this product,) giggle at the cutest giggles when this program starts, and then comes right back to Kid Pix Delux to do her art work. The CD I bought is for Windows.

can't download to mac
I haven't even figured out how to download to my Mac. The Broderbund website is terrible, can't find correct information. No customer service, no telephone # that works. I am really frustrated. Thinking of returning product. My son will be really disappointed. I'd rather buy him paints.

My toddler loves it
My son loves this set.It's very, very clickable, with lots of things to amuse him, and it's easy for him to master.He can play it on his own, even though he's just 3.My only problem is on the Art Workshop CD, there's a bug in the Free Drawing area where sometimes the whole screen comes up black and you only get the paints and stamps if you click all over the screen at random.My son usually has to call me to help him do this.But once it's up, it's up,and it works beautifully.

Elmo always entertains
My 3-year-old son would spend hours at his computer playing with this software if we allowed it. He creates whole stories with the various elements this software brings together. He loves to dress up the characters and put them in cinematic situations. He eagerly points out all the details to his setups once he's finished an image. It's an absorbing, imagination-stretching bit of technology that we're glad to have in our house.

Funnest Software for any kid!
This game was so much fun! There where tons of pictures to make! They has brushes, Background Images, and soo much more! I loved this! I had to get ride of it cuz we thought it messed up our pc. But then when we got ride of it we found out about spyware that was doing it. If you could buy this again I would :(. This software is best for sges 6- 13. I loved it growing up. And your kids will love it too!

disneymagic artist
our3 year daughter loves this game.there is a varity of themes to choose from.very cool characters to draw ,paint,scribble you name it. i like the dancing animals at the circus the best.very nice game and will keep the kids occupied for awhile.

kids loved it
Just the thrill of seeing Disney characters made this program compelling to a 5 and 7 year old. They both loved the spray can and tried the different shapes.It was a good time killer and at least the kids weren't shooting anyone.I have to also say that the kids kept laughing as they were amused at the pictures they were making.

My 4 year old daughter loves this game and wants to play it everyday since we ordered it.Most of the screens are easy enough for her, however there are a few that she finds some difficulty with.One such page asks her to sequence bottles of potions (kind of like the old "Simon" game).Another page asks her to complete a mirror image of a scene.Still she manages and is eager to try it...it wouldn't keep me from purchasing it. ... solid and entertaining for ~5 year olds
My daughter (4 going on 5) has had a lot of fun with this.For the price and relative to a lot of other similar products, I'm happy with the depth and quality.The review suggesting "negative stars" is completely off base - this is game software, and isn't intended to impart deep education.The review giving one star simply because it must be run in admin mode is also short-sighted - knocking the whole product simply because of a common OS incompatibility is silly (I'd say more than half of our children's software suffers from this).

daughter now 10 and still loves it
I purchased this originally for my daughter when she was 7.WEll, we moved and lost it.She was devastaded!!I ordered another one for her from X-mas and I was surprised that she still wanted to play with it.I know that the skill level is for much younger children ,however she enjoys it for the design purpose.Plus, who is too old for Cinderella?????

I bought this for my 3 year-old who adores Cinderella in any form.She loves putting the furniture and characters in the rooms and quickly learned to navigate.She does get a little frustrated when she can't put the furniture precisely where she wants it.Not a lot of learning value, but has really helped her gain control of the mouse and learn basic computer skills.Otherwise, just fun and entertaining for a very young one.She'll outgrow this before she turns 5, I'm sure ... harmless , girly fun
I actually got this game used, and it is my [...] favorite, by far.I cannot honestly say it is educational, but it does incorporate some basic math (earning money for tasks, knowing if you have enough left to spend, etc.) and a lot of critical thinking ( you must meet certain criteria when decorating the window and designing outfits).This game would be a great choice for a [...] who enjoys fashion, a My Scene fan or not.I actually enjoyed designing outfits and tooling around on the subway as much as my daughter did.

It Could Have Been Fun - If it Worked!
My computer meets all of the requirements for this game and then some. But it won't work! My dad installed it for me and it said it installed correctly. Then, when I go to play it, it crashes on me. So I tried again, and again it crashed. my dad uninstalled it and tried again. As I tried to play it froze my computer up and then crashed. It just goes to show you that even if you have a good computer, cheap software still doesn't work.

An easy version of Photoshop for kids!
This program is great. Bought for my 6 year old son who displays a lot of creativity but is already knowledgeable of the computer, so thought this would be a good program to utilize his skills.I found that click and create was similar to Photoshop which is amazing because he'll already be learning skills for when he's older.

The Lion King Classic Collection
I recently bought a copy of this collection and noticed that the box said The Lion King II Gamebreak at the bottom but, It was only the Timon and Pumbaa's Jungle game included, I was a little dissapointed but, oh well. The three games were pretty fun, especially the Timon and Pumbaa's Jungle Games. It relieved a little stress after a long day; maybe it was the music? I thought the The Lion King II Active play was a little childish but I still liked the activities as it was a little bit challenging, not really but, kind of. I would say the most educating game of the trio was th Adventures in typing with Timon and Pumbaa, as it also taught proper typing postures and other miscellaneous but, important skills (I think I need brush up on my typing skills). I think this collection is great for the whole family because the different games are for different age levels and it also was fun for me, so... A great introduction to a variety of music concepts!
Our game arrived last night.For the most part my [...] loved playing it.I thought the variety of musical activities and the story line made the program fun.She takes violin lessons and it reinforced a number of the concepts she had learned.Sir Sour Note is a bit creepy but she didn't seem to mind.
A wonderful program for ALL ages!
Pros:I am a K-5 music teacher at a school district in Texas and have used Jumpstart Music with ALL grade levels with much success.The Kindergartners must have prior instruction with the rhythms before attempting to use this.However, after a few lessons to prepare, they were very successful.I recently allowed by 4th and 5th graders to use it and they were completely happy with it.Even though they saw it only goes to third grade level when first putting your name in the system, they realized pretty quickly that many of the rhythms go beyond 3rd grade level.They were challenged and for many who came from another district and perhaps had no prior music training, it is a great way to get them caught up with the class.
Both of my kids love it!
We checked this out from the library time and time again.The kids have asked for their own copy for Christmas.My kids were 4 and 6 when they first found it; now 5 and 7, they still dig it!The older one takes piano lessons and this helped supplement her initial learning.I strongly disagree with the unfavorable reviews. ... Cosmic Blobs: Lab Rat Edition (Win & Mac)
I purchased this game for my 8 year old. After going through the tutorial together the game has not seen much play time. The modeling is great, but the fun factor is pretty low. I would not recommend this game for kids under 10.

Cosmic Blobs is sophisticated computer aided design for kids. We bought it for our 9 year old grandson and it proved to be too sophisticated for him to handle.We recommend this game for 12 to 13 year olds or brilliant younger kids.

Great gift
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 9-year old daughter and she has played with it constantly.It includes some pretty sophisticated 3D modelling and animation tools in a very simple kid-friendly interface.She was able to learn the basics very quickly and let her imagination run wild with all sorts of wacky creations.

Trick your kids into learning
This game was purchased for a young girl aged 4 years 8 mo.She had very little computer experience, and a little phonic work in Pre-K.This game was right up her alley.Some of the tasks were easy, giving her a sense of mastery, but the difficulty level increases nice and slow and she didn't even realize.They mix in fun non-learning activities as a reward (decorating the float).As a result, her reading skills have significantly improved in the past month and so have her computer mousing skills.Haven't found a good typing game for a 4 year old yet, that's next.

Great Learning Game
This game is awesome and teaches kids phonics, letter recognition, matching, numbers, and they don't even know they are learning becuase they are having fun.They complete tasks and get fun prizes that boost self confidence.It helps kids navigate on the computer and gets them comfortable with a mouse.

This game has very cartoony colors, so you can't use the pictures you make because they look, ugly. The control system is really bad. You should get Kid Pix Deluxe 3, you can make 3D things in Kid Pix Deluxe 3 and in this stuido thing there isn't much good tools to paint with. The movie making things are not that good.
