5-0 out of 5 stars For ALL ages! BEST WAY TO LEARN SPANISH IMHO
When I tried this program out, I at first had some trouble running it. But Then I went to the website at: www.kutoka.com and click on the support tab and then select EasySpeak Spanish. They give you a link for the version of Flash 8 you need to run. After this everything worked well.
1-0 out of 5 stars I sent mine back to Amazon
The software requires a "patch"...not a big deal.
4-0 out of 5 stars For Mature Audiences!
I've been using EazySpeak Spanish for about a week now and find it HIGHLY enjoyable and amusing. I do, however, have to agree with other reviews in that it is not for children. I was a little surprised at the semi-nudity of the characters and how, in one exercise, one bikini-clad female had semi-circles in her chest region to suggest nipples. Also, elsewhere in the program, one is introduced to the Spanish words for beer, rum, brandy, cigarettes, and various types of wine. All of these topics should be off-limits to a 12 year-old, which, the box claims, EazySpeak is suitable for.

5-0 out of 5 stars Learning French Can Be Fun
My daughters needed to begin learning French quickly because it is a part of the curriculum at their new school. This CD has made the learning process fun for them and me.We all use it and enjoy the activities on it.The girls will play Doki voluntarily when they have free time and love the graphics and occasional silliness of the characters.I bought two different learn to speak French CDs and they have a strong preference for this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for whole family!
This product totally surpassed my expectations. Originally bought as a gift for my daughter, I ended up using for myself for trips to Montreal and France with my husband. This product is perfect for anyone who wants to learn a language fast. To learn the basics to converse in restaurants, banks, airports, hotels, shopping without sounding like a fool.It didn't waste my time with grammar or things I wouldn't need.It was fun as it uses humourous cartoon characters who at first seemed childish, but then I realized it made for a non-intimidating environment for someone who couldn't remember more than bonjour from high school. As for my daughter, it provided her with much needed comprehension pratise that's not emphasized at schools as much anymore.Very happy with purchase and well worth my money, ... This product is pretty good.My little boy is 5 and is just really wanting to learn Spanish so I bought this product to help him.The animation is spectacular but he got bored with it very quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to Play, Easy to Load, Easy to Love!
This game is great! After buying Mia Reading I thought it was a great idea to get my 2 girls to start learning Spanish since we live in a global village. They game was easy to load, easy to navigate and the level was perfect for beginners. The high quality 3D animation will blow you away. Even my husband who learned 3D animation at the Vancouver Film School was blown away. The best part is, that they love playing it as they think it is a game. They forget they're learning numbers and vocab and how to put together simple sentences. Well recommended. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful way to learn Spanish!
I am an Advanced Placement Spanish Language teacher and I use Spanish at home with my daughters. I bought this program for my 6 year old daughter since she loves using the computer. In the other reviews, they mentioned that there is no English spoken. This is true and it is the best way to learn another language. I found the software to be intuitive as my 6 year old can navigate easily through the levels without any help from me. They use the correct textbook vocabulary with correct accent placement and the words are pronounced correctly. As a teacher, I would recommend this software highly to anyone learning Spanish. It may seem difficult at first, but believe in your children! They are smarter than you think!

1-0 out of 5 stars KidSpeak Spanish--very disappointing
I purchased this for my 9 year old son who was very excited about learning Spanish. After an hour of frustration with the CD, he ended up in tears. The cartoon girl in the CD starts speaking right away in full Spanish sentences. I have some knowledge of Spanish, and I didn't even know what she was saying! There is a game that has the kids trying to match letters with the sounds they make, but no instruction has been given on the phonics rules in Spanish. And don't even get me started on the ABC song. Don't waste your money. I'm returning this ASAP.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction
Our son is 6 and he LOVES this program. It is an inexpensive way to get your child to learn some basic Spanish. There is no English translation, however, so it helps if you know a little Spanish. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Arthur's Teacher Trouble
Marc Brown creates the Arthur adventure, Arthur's Teacher Trouble with a moral in mind. Also it proves that if you work hard and give it your all, you'll be more successful. The book is told for children to understand that a little hard work gets you somewhere. With no effort at all, you won't come out with your best. 4-0 out of 5 stars Neat!
This game is great for young computer-users!Each page has at least 15 "interactions" -- i.e. clicking on the salt shakers in thekitchen makes them dance. The story can read itself to you are you canread it silently.Even clicking on one word makes the computer say it. Great for children just learning to read. However, using it TOO many timescan get tiring...after all, it is just a computerized book.Great valuefor the money!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Effective Program
We bought this as an introduction to spanish for our 3yr. old son.I loved the price and was relieved to find such a good program cheaper than the programs advertised on T.V.It teaches vocabulary, games, and cultural information as well. The progress report helps me to know what area he needs help with.I also love how you can earn fish for the fish tank by completing activities. The only down side it thatis it too easy for my son to change the levels therefore he'll play the game before learning the vocabulary.I love this product and think it is wonderful!!A must have for all preschool parents and homeschoolers.

5-0 out of 5 stars My kids love it!
I have three kids, ages 2,3 and 8 that literally fight over who gets to play this game.My 2 year old boy would sit and play this game for hours if I would let him, it really captures his attention with the bright, colorful graphics, and catchy songs. My daughter who is 8, gets ready for school extra early just so she and her 3 year old sister will have time to play this game. Not only is it fun for them, they have really picked up alot of Spanish words from playing it.I only wish they would make a Spanish 2!

2-0 out of 5 stars It's not worth for REALLY learning the Language
My dad got this for me because i like to learn languages. It was misleading for me what is says on the package "each disc a complete course". It is useful for you if you want to learn basic things like phrases for traveling but NOT if you REALLY want to learn the language. If want to learn basic travel things this WILL be for you. But if you want to REALLY Learn the language you better get the Instant Immersion Laguage course devoted to one language.
4-0 out of 5 stars Instant maybe. Immersion questionable.
My dad got this for me to supplement a Latin textbook I have been studying for my high school language course. It is quick and easily understandable. You get plenty of words and phrases, which is perfect for a traveler. If you want to learn the language for the sake of knowing it, not travel, however, you'd better get a book to supplement this. It doesn't teach about pluralization, verb conjugation, or other oddities that the language holds, such as, in Latin, the ending -m which implies a direct object. The Latin CD also does not use the dashes over the vowels, which may or may not be necessary, I don't know. Overall, I am very happy with the product and with the price of $39.99 (USD), but I am also quite glad I have my textbook (ECCE ROMANI) to go with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good concept but badly executed
I've been using the Jumpstart games for my kids since they were in Pre-K and they love playing with them. I bought the Languages set for my 5 yr old thinking it would be a great intro to foreign languages. She enjoyed the games at first, but quickly grew bored. There are fewer games than in the other Jumpstart sets and they're not as challenging. My biggest complaint is that the sound quality and pronounciation for the foreign words are so hard to decipher I doubt my kids will be able to figure them out. I would suggest giving this set a miss.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazingly easy to learn French course
I never thought that Fench would be as easy as it is. Really amazing French course for novel people into that language. First step in learning. Great multimedia development, in order to improve pronuntiation. If this is your choice for your first French classes, you are right, this is the best choice.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good up until the 3rd CD
I've been working with the IM German now for some time (it's part of the 4 CD set). I had fun and learned at a faster pace with the first CD. The 2nd CD was quite a jump. I think you have to do a little studying on the outside before 'mastering' this CD. However! I tried out the Dictionary CD, and it is HORRIBLE!!! I've been studying German long enough now that the speaker isn't even pronouncing the words right. It sounds like someone reading the words for the first time. Be careful this CD can throw you off. If someone has a explanation for this let me know!

Installation of the German TalkNow module would hang with no explanation on Windows 98SE. I "Opened" the CD next and tried to launch instal32.exe and instal16.exe manually instead of from autorun. Both hanged. When I attempted to autorun the CD again it produced an error message "Astra32 - System Error -5, 12, 0". The only printed documentation consists of a poorly xeroxed page inside the box with installation instructions for Windows 3.1, 95/98, and a Mac.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Helpful - but doesn't run on XP!
I bought this before a short trip to France a few years ago and found it useful in getting to the basics of the language. I recently upgraded to Windows XP, however, and discovered that the program won't run. Apparently Win98 and 95 are it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not what I had expected
This course while extensive in activities, was not what I had expected. The course did not start out basic such as learning basic communication between two people.I think this course is better for someone who is some-what fluent in French already. In addition, this course is however good for refreshment or learning more where it comes to things such as ordering dinner or renting an apartment.

2-0 out of 5 stars If you know any French, skip this product
The graphics are nice and clear, and it does teachminimum skills for communicating as a tourist; if you want practice with very simple conversations, try it. You'll learn to say and understand things like " I would like to rent an apartment". But if you can conjugate verbs, write, read or speak a little in French, don't bother. I can't understand French movies or conversations at regular speeds, so I thought this might help. It did'nt. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware -Very Poor Quality Software
The software included in this set is of very poor quality. They will change your screen colors since they need to be run in 256 color mode. The games themselves are flawed with bugs. The answers to some of the questions were incorrect. I have an advanced degree in medicine, but even that did not help to address these shortcomings. I have also purchased the middle and High school math and Middle school math excelerator software and all of them are from the same company - TOPICS ENTERTAINMENT. I would recommend not to purchase ANY of the Excelerator titles, for not only are they a waste of your time and money, but they include two programs that are the same in both the Middle School and Middle School Math, which are the Pre-Algebra and Algebra programs. You would be better off buying another title from a different company....Buyer Beware!!!
