My 4 year old son has been playing computer games for about 6 months and does really well at navigating the mouse and listening for instructions.I sit with him until I know he knows how to play.I can't leave him with this one.You have to search to find where you want to go and the information I think it gives on the dinosaurs is either below or above his level. He knows alot about dinosaurs and this doesn't expand on anything.I think maybe if it were a little more realistic...and the game gets stuck and acts slowly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great lessons on the ocean
This piece is great for kids. You should also consider the adventures of Captain -- Captain Jon's Island Adventure and Captain Jon Explores the Ocean.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game if you want to learn about marine biology!!
This is such a cool game! The Magic School Bus games are all quite good.I really like how you can visit many different ocean zones so you can see that not all parts of the ocean are alike. It is unique that you can "perform" your own science experiments on the same program that you can play fun games on.I like the game with the crab. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars good, but not very exciting
This game is okay, but I was a little disappointed. My previous experience with the show made me have high expectations. My son likes it but said it was a little boring. It does a good job of teaching things but I think there could have been more ideas covered.

5-0 out of 5 stars Inside the Earth - Inside Your Child's Mind!
Scholastic's name's on this selection. Not for nothing....This is another one of Microsoft's gems. I know I said it before, but this is definitely a gem! Microsoft does NOT make bad educational software. There's something of value in every package they turn out. Ms. Frizzle shines again in this one. Parents this is the closest you want your kids exploring inside the earth. Come on and break out your wallet, or purse.

I'd like to preface this by stating that my 6-year-old plays this package daily ? after his homework. He installed it by himself, so my opinion is that those who say it?s difficult to install need to look at their system resources. He loves the graphics, sound and the activities. I once read a review that this package is not user-friendly and I say, baloney. I say this because he doesn?t ask for assistance when using this software. All he complains about is not having all the MSB titles. There is no main menu to show you how to navigate through the CD and many of the screens do not feature an "Exit" icon to allow you to exit the program or return to the main menu, but who cares? Play a round of interplanetary hide-and-seek with Ms. Frizzle and her class aboard the Magic School Bus! In this exploration of our solar system, the Friz is hiding somewhere in Earth's neighborhood--as far away as Saturn, perhaps, or maybe as close as the moon. It is up to players to put together the clues that will lead to the elusive teacher's location. Luckily, the Magic School Bus is equipped with everything the quest will require--information on the planets, navigation tools for visiting these worlds, and plenty of clues to Ms. Frizzle's hiding place.Read more

The Magic School Bus in Concert is a good game, except the voices are different than the hit TV show, and Arnold, Wanda, Tim, andDorothy Annaren't included in the game. I am 10 years old, and I collect Magic SchoolBus computer games. I would recommend this game for 6 to 10 year olds whowant to improve their music skills.

My seven year old seemed to enjoy this more than my 9 year old.Perhaps just because she enjoys music more.Still a wonderful game, allows playersto create their own scores and teaches them about ultrasound. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great! But could get a little scary!
The game is great! You get to explore the mouth, esophagus, stomach, liver, kidneys, brain, skin, heart and lungs. You can even play games, transform the bus and do experiments. You can also pull out the periscope and the "Arnold-Vision" screen to see how he is doing. And if your "Bony," this game is for you, because you can connect bones back to the skeleton. The only drawback is an unexpected ending sequence. If you put the volume too loud the player might get scared!

5-0 out of 5 stars very very educational for kids
In my day health class was the most boring place to be but with this kind of game, kids will love it so much because this game makes learning all the more fun and is presentable in an age-appropriate manner to them with all their graphics, colours, music, facts and so forth

5-0 out of 5 stars why wouldn't you love it?
Ok, I'm about 11 1/2 years old and I have grown up with the magic school bus. Watching, playing, reading, I'd never let any of these go. I feel that buying the magic school bus human body is a great choice for the msb lover. I was a little dissapointed when my windows xp wouldn't run it in the way I used to enjoy it, but if you run it on a windows 98, traveling sequences will be full screen, the way that I used to view it. The graphics for the game are good quality, and these are a keepsake considering they are so very rare to find now, I'm lucky I still have my old games and are playable. The games are awesome and quite challenging. Sure I'm saying this because the magic school bus is one of the best things that happened in my life, but these games seem incredibly hard to find these days and they will become valuable in the distant future. To keep it short, (which I haven't done this entire paragraph) if you and your children want to be able to learn ahead of the other kids who could care less about what I'm saying and have fun with lovable characters and experiment without the mess, go ahead and buy this unforgetable keepsake. ... As with MSB Whales and Dophins, this is not a full-fledged Magic School Bus CD, but is just an activity center. The Magic School Bus CDs fall into two categories: full-fledged exploration programs and activity centers. The full-fledged programs are excellent and represent good value for money. Three of my children (ages 7, 5 and 3) spends hours exploring with MSB Oceans, Animals, Solar System, and Dinosaurs. They are great. On the other hand, he is quickly bored with the Activity Centers, such as Whales and Dolphins, Flight, and Mars. 5-0 out of 5 stars Wow, Volcanoes Rock Here!!
Microsoft keeps putting out educational software that rocks for kids. As a teacher, regular and special education, I welcome every issue Microsoft tackles. For several reasons. I know it's gonna be good. Educational. Compelling. Enjoying....3-0 out of 5 stars a disappointment, but entertaining
My son is nuts for volcanoes, so this appeared a natural for him.It is somewhat informative and has some great images, but he ran through it in about an hour and shows no interest in going back to it.When you get down to it, most cd-roms are just multiple choice exams but without penalties for guessing wrong. We should not expect much more from them, and at the price that this cost, I could have taken him myself to a movie for a longer entertainment!Nonetheless, this one does introduce kids to the tools of scientists better than other magic school bus cd-roms I have seen, but it doesn't do much to teach anything about the way that scientists think and work.
