5-0 out of 5 stars Buy this one Now
We have been fans of the I Spy Books & Software for some time, but this is our new favourite. The graphics are great & the levels within each "story" keep my 6 year old twin boys busy when Mummy needs a break. The I Spy Team should keep up the good work - this is a computer game that won't turn kids brains to mush!

5-0 out of 5 stars i spy fantasy
i bought this cd rom for my son who thinks this game is fantastic, very easy for young children to use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Neat!
My six year old daughter was reluctant to try this, but she did and she LOVES it! Great graphics, fun, challanging. Not sure how "educational" it is, but it is a neat, non-violent, gets-you-thinking game! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Spooky mansion
The I Spy Spooky Mansion was our first experience with the I SPY computer games. My family and I LOVED it.My daughter is 8 and my son is 4 and we found ourselves playing the game for several hours straight. The game can be just a plain seek and find for my 4 yr old, but can bring out the logical thinking for my 8 yr old.I highly recommend this game, and I am eager to try all the I SPY games!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it
I bought this for my 6 year old grandson. He played with it for 2 hours straight. He completed the game and has played it again and again.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Favorite for Schoolagers!
When I ran a before and after school daycare in my home not long ago, I Spy Spooky Mansion Deluxe was one of the children's absolute favorite game choices. I owned quite a collection of games, from Barbie to Zoo Tycoon, but the mystery and puzzles of I Spy held their attention the most. The children ranged in age from 6 to 11, and I Spy was largely a favorite of the 6-9 year olds. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Mac Users Beware!
The product description is wrong, this is NOT OSX software. It's OS9 and can only be run in "Classic" environment.Any Mac purchased in the last two years, at least, does not come with OS9.You would need to have OS9 installed on your computer in addition to OSX.This will definitely affect the performance of the software and your machine in general.
5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for everyone!
My kids (6 and 9 years old) and I spent hours playing this game. We took turns deciding where to go, and we all helped find the hidden images.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
This was a great product - it is fun and educational and the graphics are great. It was such a fun product - that I purchased it first as a download but I went ahead and purchased the actual product so that I could have a CD of it forever.Buy it - you and your children will enjoy trying to find the items. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Trick your kids into learning
This game was purchased for a young girl aged 4 years 8 mo.She had very little computer experience, and a little phonic work in Pre-K.This game was right up her alley. Some of the tasks were easy, giving her a sense of mastery, but the difficulty level increases nice and slow and she didn't even realize. They mix in fun non-learning activities as a reward (decorating the float). As a result, her reading skills have significantly improved in the past month and so have her computer mousing skills.Haven't found a good typing game for a 4 year old yet, that's next.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Game
This game is awesome and teaches kids phonics, letter recognition, matching, numbers, and they don't even know they are learning becuase they are having fun. They complete tasks and get fun prizes that boost self confidence. It helps kids navigate on the computer and gets them comfortable with a mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this software game!
My daughter just turned 3 years old in October and she loves this game. It's very educational and fun at the same time. She was able to navigate through the carnival games right from the start so it's very user friendly. While she's known all her capital letters and the sounds each letter makes for some time now, she's learning to recognize the lower case letters and to spell 3 and 4 letter words from using this game. She's only had it for a few days but I can already see she's learning a lot from playing with it.I highly recommend this one for it's educational value. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs
I agree with the reviewer who urges you to stay away from this and other Scholastic products if you run Windows XP.I received School Days and Spooky Mansion today but can't get either to run on XP, even though I am generally quite adept at working with computers.I will never buy another product from this company, even if it works well on XP.These products say they work with "Windows 95, 98, 2000 or later."Don't believe it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Windows XP Compatible
I just tossed this one in the trash. It looked like a good game for my girls but unfortunately Scholastic doesn't believe in updating or supporting their products. I'd be very leary of buying any software from this company since software returns are difficult to negotiate. I would appreciate a list of truly Windows XP compatible children's software titles. Windows XP has been around for at least a couple of years now. I don't understand why compatibility is such a problem. Their support site cites that the problem is "you have too much installed RAM." Well, for most software, that is not a "bad" thing.

5-0 out of 5 stars I spy school days! FUN!!!
Just a great fun game with so many rooms and levels. My 7 year old loves it and it helps in learning to concentrate! I like watching her play. There is a room where she can make her own clues for an I spy game. How fun is that and gives a child the room to invent and create!! Buy!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good beginner game
My son has been playing this since 2 1/2 year old.He can play it by himself, although he does use some trial and error, especially the pattern game and the what's missing game.My 5 year old daughter who loves Dragontales shows, is not interested in this game, which suggests that the game is too easy for her.I like that the program automatically advances levels, unlike many of the other software we have.

2-0 out of 5 stars Better for the younger set
This game markets itself as appropriate for 4-6 year olds.I bought this for my 5 year old and she beat it in less than 30 minutes. The game itself is extremely short - only 6 activities. This may be better for 3 and 4 year olds just learning to count and learn shapes. But for those already competent or even familiar with them, its a waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and Educational
My four year old enjoys this. The look and sound of the software is the same as the PBS show. Some of the activities my four year old can do by himself while others require some help from mom or dad.The software gives directions for your child to follow. There are activites such as counting and shape sorting and other activities that require an understanding of bigger/smaller, up/down, etc.We have about four computer games. In order of preference our son likes Dragon Tales followed by Little People Farm/Airport, then Clifford Thinking Adventure and then Finding Nemo.Overall, Dragon Tales Learn to Fly is a good value that runs well on my older Windows 98 system.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great software for my 3-year-old child!
This Clifford Reading software is really great for my 3-year-old child. She is able to play all the games herself and navigate around the screens easily without me helping her, which is great for when I have other work to do. We had a problem with the Richard Scarry software; there was just too much going on visually (great for books, confusing for click navigation) and this one is better in that regard. It is visually more obvious where you are to click or what to do, and the narration by Emily Elizabeth is clear and helpful. The games are cute. She loves the T-shirt stamper animation after correctly spelling a 3-letter word. Second favorite is "pop the balloon that says 'xxx'" and you have to correctly pop several word ballons that float by in order to dunk Clifford in the carnival dunk tank. What kid doesn't love being allowed to pop a bunch of balloons and then making a dog swim? This software makes learning the words really fun instead of frustrating. The beginning level is challening but not too hard; she can still win the prize tickets and get a prize/present from the big carnival claw-grabber prize bin. The prize/present unwraps itself and is a printable item like a coloring page, abc dot-to-dot, colorable finger puppets, etc. You can color these on-screen and/or print them out, and they are automatically saved for you in case you want to print them out later. Overall, I really love this software, it was a great purchase, and I am definitely buying it for all of the other kids I know as well as checking out all of the other Clifford titles. Great!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great first reading progam for pre-schoolers and kindergarten
As well as all the games which my 5 year old kids find addictive, there are also 26 mini lessons on each letter of the the alphabet and lots of mini stories to read. So there is some hard core education for parents to assist children and its not just all easy peasy games pitched at very young children.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good...but...
My 5 year old daughter is enjoying this package, BUT...be aware that on Windows XP and Windows 2000 that the program has to be installed AND run as a user with administrative rights. Not exactly the kind of account I would choose to setup for a small child.

5-0 out of 5 stars my kid who HATES math LOVES this game
This is the BEST educational software I have purchased. I have to PRY my kid away from it. She has learned SO MUCH without even knowing that she was learning math. They disguise learning very well. You won't be disappointed. This is a keeper!

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS RULES !
I frist played this game in school and i had so much fun so i asked my mom for it and thats what i got. my favorit part was buying the arcade that is so cool. also the hardest one was when you'r at the peir the guy with lopster is the one. i recomend this game to any one. even aldults!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great software
I bought this for my 8-year-old to spend more time practicing math. My son likes math and he likes playing this software. He asks to play it rather than needing to be prodded, as he was with the Math & Science Excelerator I bought for the same purpose. Even the neighborhood kids come to play it with him. I would also recommend it for kids having trouble with math as it puts the concepts into visual perspective, rather than just repeating equations. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great math game!
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter, whose weakest subject is math. She LOVES this game and will literally play it for hours. It consists of all kinds of different math games that you can play at three different levels of difficulty.I am just VERY pleased with this game.Suddenly math is FUN for my daughter!

4-0 out of 5 stars Really Educational and Really Fun
My six-year-old daughter, who just started first grade, was completely engaged playing this game. It has a nice layout to explore, lots of activities, and it adapts to a range of skill levels. It was challenging enough to be interesting but not too hard to "win" and save the day for the city.I would give it five stars if only the arcade games were playable -- they were much too hard for my daughter. But she didn't seem to mind, since she really enjoyed everything else.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Just "Okay"
There are not many good options in software for children, so that this at least rates as okay is something. It is educational for sure and definitely teaches math and grouping of sets for faster counting, money values, etc. But it could be more appealing for a 5-year old boy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holds interest
This was great for my 3 1/2 yr old. He can explore all by himself. He loves that it's similar to big brother's I Spy games. Things make silly noises when he clicks them to add interest and entertain.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not compatible with my computer; a brand new Dell
This software will not work with my computer which has Windows XP Home on it.They provided two work-arounds, one didn't work and the other one was to start pulling RAM off of the computer.LUDICROUS!This product should not be marked as compatible with Windows XP.

5-0 out of 5 stars mother of two busy boys
I purchased this package two years ago when my oldest son was almost 4 years old. He seldom played with Little Bear, liked the computer adventure with Arthur, but loved Dr. Seuss. This CD ROM alone has been paid for over and over. The features that are great for the children not only include the 7 areas of play (sequencing, measuring, matching, alphabet, spelling, grouping, and math..... plus other little things to do along the way), but the ability to change the level of difficulty within each area. There are 3 levels of difficulty for each area that allow the child to master a level then challenge themselves to the next level of difficulty. It is easy to move up or down a level during the game.4-0 out of 5 stars Good Programs, Good Value
These are not my four-year-old daughter's favorite programs but she does choose them occasionally from her CD-ROM album. The graphics are not cutting edge crisp but are still good by 2003 standards.Parents should love the Dr. Seuss as it brought back a lot of nostalgia for me.My daughter's first book to read on her own was Green Eggs & Ham so it's fun for her to see Dr. Seuss on computer too.All three games are highly educational and a good value sold together. It seems the "Little Bear" title is much easier than the other two.

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved the Dr. Seuss game
We have bought several CD packs for our 3 yr old daughter including: Living books: Grandma & Me, Brighter Child: The Muppets, Jumpstart: Numbers, Jumpstart: ABC's, and Jumpstart:Pre-K.Adventure Workshop: Preschool-1st grade seems by far the best.Arthur's Computer Adventure (part of this Adventure Workshop pack)is on par with Just Grandma & Me.Both are interactive stories that our daughter enjoys working with. She particularly likes the cashier section of the story.Read more

After a storm breaks the radio tower on Birdwell Island, Clifford the Big Red Dog and his master, Emily Elizabeth, decide to make music with friends Charley, Cleo, and T-Bone. Kids join them in the fun by making instruments, singing songs, sorting shells, dancing with the dogs, and more. The program's 19 age-appropriate activities challenge children (ages 4 to 6) to develop their memory, logic, and early-math skills. An automatic help tool allows for self-guided play, while all activities progress according to children's skill level.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Spy Spooky Mansion
My kids (4 and 7 yrs old) love this game. The haunted house element of this game adds a nice twist that makes this game even more fun than the other I Spy games. These games also have some educational value and are fun to play with multiple players or with the entire family.Highly recommended.
