A delight--but...
I had little trouble installing this game, even though I had to use the patch. It's a hoot, a delight to play. Yes, you'll need to change the default controls. My gripe? The "Save" feature is dreadful, you can only save in highly specific situations, usually at the beginning and end of a level (unless I'm doing something wrong, always possible). But it's fairly easy to figure out and just a lot of fun to play.

Just A Great Game.
I can't describe Lego Star Wars II in any other way but awesome.It is the perfect recipe of fun for everyone.
Pain to install but worth it...
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, this game was a pain in the a** to install, however once you do get it going it is more than worth it.The anti-piracy software (Securom) makes it a pain to install and in fact it will not install as is out of the box.You need to go to the web site and download an update patch to get it going.

Not Much New
Kris, et all. Like many reviewers in the past, I have to agree there are no significant features to warrant upgrading.If there's a new feature (not many for most users) that you're dieing for, certainly upgrade.I upgraded (regrettably) since there was a new feature to delete all Bills area out.I had two phantom bills which kept showing up and every month an additional set would show up as past due.The number of past dues would have kept increasing every month. The short version is this feature (delete all Bills area) did not work for me.After discussing the issue with MS, the solution was to export every account (investments have two accounts) to a QIF file and the one at a time re-import each QIF file in.This was an absolute brutal recovery and I've spent well over 35 - 40 hours getting it cleaned up.After each import you have to delete the duplicate/double posts in both accounts.As one web site once noted, this is not for the faint-of-heart.One of the features toted in this version is the budget improvement.So in fairness, I decided to test this out.I really didn't see any improvements during the interview portion, but afterwards the budget screen just shows a tan box where the cash flow used to be.Basically, it didn't work (keep in mind I basically started from scratch with the imports).I'm not impressed.The bottom line:Don't upgrade just because there is a new version.If there's something you have to have, then sure upgrade if people say it (the to-die-for feature) works.I rate this a 2 for current MS Money Users and a 3 for users who have no Personal Finance Management (PFM) software.If you are torn between Quicken and MS Money as a new user, go with Quicken because most professional/reviewers like Q the best.
Excellent resource for managing your finances.
I have been using Microsoft Money 2003 for years and recently upgraded to Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe.I initially tried the 90-day free trial from the Microsoft website.The download and installation only took a few minutes and the data transfer only took seconds.
Big dissapointment
I bought and installed Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe.It installed fine with no errors.When I launch the program, it launches fine but when I go to run the reports, they don't work.I tried uninstaling and re-installing several times and no luck.

Leaves Ghost in the dust ! Great results either using it installed or booting via CD
I never used the trial versions and then later upgradedby purchasing the serial # or key # like some other reviewers did.
Works perfectly
I've been trying a number of backup programs and thought I had a pretty good one but needed something that would create a drive image and so bought Acronis for that purpose. However, it worked so well for the image backup, that I also tried it for my regular backups. Now it's the only backup program I use.
Acronis True Image Backup 9.0
In terms of value, reliability, and ease of use, Acronis True Image 9 stands head and shoulders above most of the other backup software out there (e.g. Ghost, Dantz Retrospect, to name but two). Don't look to the folks at Acronis for great product support, however, because you're not likely to get it ... at least I never have, in the three years or so that I've been using their products. A couple of hints to those new to this software: (1) If you are installing your Acronis secure zone on a dual option Firewire/USB external hard drive, DO NOT use USB; always, always, always use Firewire instead. (No matter what they may tell you, True Image 9 IS NOT properly supported by prevailing USB 2.0 architecture, let alone the older 1.1, and if your external hard drive is USB 2 only, you may be in for a lot of headaches.) (2) If you are reinstalling Windows, haven't updated your applications in some time, AND you happen to own Acronis Privacy Suite as well, DO NOT download antispyware definitions updates directly from the Privacy Suite GUI; instead, go to the Acronis Updates page. Download the largest (oldest) applicable updates file from there, and install OFFLINE. Otherwise you will find that True Image 9 stops working and has to be reinstalled. (3) If you have a printer or other peripheral hooked up to your USB port(s), DISCONNECT it (them) BEFORE starting any backup operations. Good luck. This is a good product. ... Read more

Improvements don't help if you forget the basics...
Quicken 2007 has some nice new features - but it appears to have some fundamental basic problems as well.I seriously question just how much testing was done before it was released.The first problem I encountered was that the tax reports were wrong - when I converted from Quicken 2004 to Quicken 2007.Seems the file conversion program missed many tax line assignments - and the most basic was depreciation.I'm still looking but I can't find depreciation in any of the tax line item lists!Leave out depreciation and all your reports are wrong (if you use depreciation that is)The other problem was updating stock prices.Q2007 can find all my stocks and update with current prices - but can't find any of those stocks for their historical prices!And as usual with new Quicken versions - they still haven't fixed the problem when you pick "earliest to date" for a report, it gives an invalid start date 0/0/1920 and then gives you an error message and tells you to enter a valid date!
Quicken is a piece of junk
Quicken Deluxe 2007 is certainly not user friendly nor intuitive. The worst part, however, is the fact that when I print I get only micro printing (perhaps 1/4 point which is too small to read). I have tried to get help from tech support but they are worthless. I highly recommend that you do not buy Quicken Deluxe 2007. There must be some other financial software out there, and anything else would surely work better.

Frustration with software bugs and LOUSY tech support
I have been using Quicken since 1999 very happily.Unfortunately, I decided to upgrade from 2005 to 2007.It will not let me print reports, and every time I try, it crashes my computer.I spent over 5 hours on the phone with Tech Support in India and they just kept running through their pre-scripted solutions which never fixed the problem.Now I'm going back to using 2005 and will lose all the data that I entered since I upgraded to 2007.I'm VERY unhappy with this product and with how Intuit handled (or didnt' handle) my problem.Stick with your current version.Quicken is a great product, but the 2007 version has too many problems. ... And apparently most (if not all) DVDs of interest (such as videos) are copy-protected.
Decent product, but poor customer service
I bought my copy of Toast 7 late last year. Before using it for the first time, I registered the thing and downloaded the 7.0.2 update. I then set about using the DVD music disc feature to make a disc of Xmas music.

OK but Don't Bet Your Life On It!!
I've purchased the latest S&T for the last 4 maybe 5 years and have become somewhat dependent on it for accurate routing whenever I thought we needed directions.In the past, one attribute of the program always annoyed me, namely, the strange text directions.I still read them a couple times, print them, grab a yellow highlighter and select the text that made sense.Then I augment the directions with my own notes in the margin.I could never figure out why msoft needed 5 instructions to tell me to stay on the same route.If you've ever used the product, you know what I mean.With this latest version, that problem/issue still persists but there's something new: errors and wrong directions!!I usually compare "fastest" to "shortest" routes.I have seen numerous cases where I had to trick the software to show me the most correct route.An example would be selecting the wrong direction off an exit of an interstate or even better, routing you in the oppposite direction to get to a road when there is a more direct route.I always update the traffic/highway info everytime.The GPS interface works fine; would be nice to have voices but I really don't miss that feature.Biggest impression: my wife and I have learned to not blindly trust it but rather we challenge every turn and pay very close to what it is telling us as we approach decision points.This year I almost went to Delorme but its reviews were even more disappointing.

Probably OK for planning, horrible in the car

How could they release this crap!!
I have been a gnucash user since 2002, but needed a windows solution (also, gnucash 1.8 reporting sucks).So I bought Quicken 2006 from Costco last year, but it sat on the shelf for quite some time as the porting from gnucash isn't trivial [...].By the time I had all the ducks lined up, Quicken 2007 came out and, I feel like such an idiot now, I bought the upgrade.I figured I might as well jump to the latest version.
Does not covert Money files
With quite disappointment, I found that Quicken 2007 does not convert Money files even if its sales material says so.In the Quicken support forums, Quicken Steve writes, "The Money data converter will not be updated for Quicken 2007. The decision was made to allocate engineering resources to issues that affect people that are new to personal finance software and people upgrading from prior versions of Quicken instead of people switching from one software package to another."
Ouch
I'm the last one to recommend a Micosoft product, but if you're looking for a good finance managing application, don't look here. Go back to money 2007.

Final Draft 7 does the job.
When I wrote my incredible screenplay on Final Draft 7 I was amazed. My first screenplay was done on Word and took forever to format. The only problem is that my screenplay sits and waits for representation--it's an awe-inspiring story and I can be reached at wlux22 at aol dot com.
A Beginner's Thoughts.
Even though I have done a lot of writing in my life, I had never written a complete screenplay.I've had lots of ideas, but had never written them down.I finally decided to get some of these ideas out on paper.I knew from talking with friends who already work in the industry that script readers are very particular when it comes to the format of a screenplay and that one formatting error can cause someone to throw away an otherwise wonderful script.I considered other screenwriting software, but after speaking with my industry insider friends and doing other research I felt that FINAL DRAFT was the best software to get.I've been using FINAL DRAFT 7 for awhile now and have not had any problems with it.For writing screenplays, I love this software.I have not had any trouble with the software not loading and I've not lost anything I've ever written (though I tend to save a lot of my work frequently anyway).I've read most of the other reviews about FINAL DRAFT 7 on Amazon and it seems that people either really like the software or they hate it.I fall into the former category and have found it quite useful.For a beginning screenwriter, it works wonderfully.The only downside I have with the software is that it is quite expensive.As an educator, I was able to get a discount. FINAL DRAFT offers a discount for students, educators, and military personnel, but if you're not able to get that discount then the software is about double the cost that it should be.
