Very Powerful Wonderful Tool
I have used Adobe Premier and Final Cut with Macintosh computers and I am very impressed with VEGAS Platinum with HD. I don't have an HD camera so I can't comment on the HD features. I have the Canon GL2. The editing is powerful, and through using the s to seperate events and then delete the material that I don't want I am able to edit just as well as I edited in Adobe, and all the other unique and easy to use feature really make using this software a breeze. The thing that has really impressed me is how stable it is. I used adobe Premier with the same computer and really had a lot of slow downs and crashes. I give this product a big thumbs up, and the DVD software is simply amazing. I haven't used the full Vegas 7 but when I have the cash I am considering the jump.

Are they kidding or what?
What an incredible piece of junk Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 is. modules within are incompattible with each other. Programs crash. And EASY?Yeah easy to take your money.DON"T BUY.

buggy crash cazy software
what a disappointment.if you feel like spending a chunk of money on this to do basic burning tasks, feel free. if you want to convert your MCE dvr-ms files to mpeg-4(Ipod)to play on your Ipod, forget it.it will crash crash crash. error messages abound.what a waste of money. but, hey, it can rip my cd's into MP3. Great! my media player does that and it's free.

Leaves Ghost in the dust ! Great results either using it installed or booting via CD
I never used the trial versions and then later upgradedby purchasing the serial # or key # like some other reviewers did.
Works perfectly
I've been trying a number of backup programs and thought I had a pretty good one but needed something that would create a drive image and so bought Acronis for that purpose. However, it worked so well for the image backup, that I also tried it for my regular backups. Now it's the only backup program I use.
Acronis True Image Backup 9.0
In terms of value, reliability, and ease of use, Acronis True Image 9 stands head and shoulders above most of the other backup software out there (e.g. Ghost, Dantz Retrospect, to name but two). Don't look to the folks at Acronis for great product support, however, because you're not likely to get it ... at least I never have, in the three years or so that I've been using their products. A couple of hints to those new to this software: (1) If you are installing your Acronis secure zone on a dual option Firewire/USB external hard drive, DO NOT use USB; always, always, always use Firewire instead. (No matter what they may tell you, True Image 9 IS NOT properly supported by prevailing USB 2.0 architecture, let alone the older 1.1, and if your external hard drive is USB 2 only, you may be in for a lot of headaches.) (2) If you are reinstalling Windows, haven't updated your applications in some time, AND you happen to own Acronis Privacy Suite as well, DO NOT download antispyware definitions updates directly from the Privacy Suite GUI; instead, go to the Acronis Updates page. Download the largest (oldest) applicable updates file from there, and install OFFLINE. Otherwise you will find that True Image 9 stops working and has to be reinstalled. (3) If you have a printer or other peripheral hooked up to your USB port(s), DISCONNECT it (them) BEFORE starting any backup operations. Good luck. This is a good product. ... Read more

WARNING!!!DO NOT BUY
As aDigital Photographer and a MAC user, I found iPhoto crashes when you try to IMPORT any DIGITAL (only)l pictures from Adobe Photosop CS & Adobe Elemebts 2. I can downlaod my pictures to iPhoto from my Digital camera (D70), export them to my pictures folder, adjust the pictures using either above mentioned software, but cannot Import any of them. Go to MacRumors, you'll see that you're not alone.Hey APPLE?? When are you going to fix this????

I purchased iLife specifically for iPhoto 6. I haven't looked at the other programs on this DVD. I find iPhoto 6 to be very helpful in downloading, managing, and editing digital photos

I'm furious about this!
I installed a perfectly legal upgrade of Photoshop CS2.It worked fine for a handful of months, and then it quit.Technical support was of no help.I had to reformat my hard drive and essentially rebuild my entire machine.I am so frustrated about this.I probably spent 100 hours with the data backup, moving data, reformatting, and reinstalling.If I were a small business, I would be out of business.All because this piece of crap program, which I purchased legally, decided to quit.Totally unacceptable!

Still the best, but Adobe's taking risks with users' loyalty
I concur with the review that points up the problems with Adobe's new "license manager" method of activation. When you pay as much as you do for this app, or the entire suite, you should not be faced with complete lockup should you have hardware problems, or can't connect to the Internet from "location shooting." I took one star off for this egregious marketing tactic.
Decent Product / Lousy Company
I had an older numbered version of PS, and upgraded to CS in 2004. Unfortunately, the old version, which I bought online, was represented a registerable, but it wasn't. Adobe said they would go ahead and activate it, and they would transfer the registration if I would fax them the information regarding the seller. I was happy to do that, hoping they would bust the creep.

Nice results but lousy user experience
I'm always reluctant to upgrade any Adobe products and the upgrades from Elements 2 to 3 to 4 have been no different.I upgraded to 4 simply because 3 would not run when we switched to Tiger on our Quicksilver.3 would run fine on two Powerbooks with the same flavor of Tiger, but not on the Quicksilver (???).

It takes a little time and effort to learn but is well worth it.

Slow and clumsy
I bought the elements ready to take on my photo library and have fun editing.Unfortunately, after photoshop successfully and easily organized my photos, the rest was downhill.If you're in the market for a photo organizer, this is a great product, but if you want to edit photos in ANY way, don't get your hopes up.It is exhaustingly clumsy!It's editing functions are not user friendly, are slow, and it even freezes regularly while editing.I give this 2 stars for it's organizing capabilities and 0 stars for it's editing capabilities.I'll probably try a few other products or keep this one for organizing and use another for editing until someone gets it right. ... A Noticeable Difference
The Spyder2 Express was easy to install, easy to operate, and did what it claims to do. I just got a ViewSonic VX922 LCD and the display looked great. After running the Spyder2 Express, it was the difference between night and day. Everything went from great to awesome! Everything, including games looked so much better. I am very happy that I invested in the Spyder2 Express. I recommend the same for you! You will not be disappointed.

Spot On!
My Dell 1905FP is an excellent LCD monitor.The default ICM profile made it appear a bit too bright and/or harsh but the color was fine.After calibrating it with this it looks MUCH better.Colors appear natural and in the correct balance.I now make prints that are very close to matching what I see on the monitor whereas before it was pretty much a trial and error process.Highly recommended for digital photographers.

Just load the software and plug it in. Follow the instruction on screen and that's it.

I have used Photoshop versions 5 all the way through 7. I just downloaded CS2. I followed the simple stps and it is now up and running on my desktop. I read some bad reviews, but I had no problems at all. I find it to be a solid program and since I made this change to help in using lightroom, the new bridge will be of great value to me. ... A must for photo editing!
I knew my laptop colors were off, and could not calibrate properly by eye w/ OSX's color calibration utility. So i ordered this little gem. Now what I seeon my camera matches my laptop and my workstation. I was even surprised how off my workstation was, since it looked "correct" before the calibration.

Fantastic!
I used my Huey to generate calibration profiles on 4 different monitors (all LCD). On every one it worked beautifully, giving me neutral grays and good contrast and brightness. The ambient light adjustment is a really nice addition, and it will automatically dim the screen as the room gets dimmer to maintain apparent contrast levels. The software is so easy to use, I never even touched the manual. A great price on a great product.

I don't own a Huey, but...
I do own the Gretag/Pantone LT-1, and I did own the SpyderPro, and I have played with a Huey.A monitor calibrator is going to change the colors you see on the monitor; that's its job, because the reason you have trouble getting prints that look like the monitor, is because the monitor isn't set right!It takes a couple of hours to get used to the different colors -- and you've a lifetime of getting correct prints on the first try once you get the printer profiled too.The first thing a well-calibrated monitor teaches you is just how poor your own color memory is and how bad Adobe Gamma and other "eyeball-based" calibration techniques are.

Print shop 22 will not completely load.
This is the first Print shop that I've owned, everything goesok loading until it gets to the product registration.Its stops and rolling back action takes place. The program is erased from the computer.I have other Broderbund programs that work correctly the first time. If any body has any tips to correct this problem, please let me know.
Looks like Broderbund got it right with PS-22
I have had minor problems with previous versions of Print Shop, but the new 22 version installed without a hitch and runs like a champ.
