5-0 out of 5 stars Great app getting even better
Intuit is really adding some helpful features in this version for Mac. Nearly every form is customizable with a built in design tool. The tutorials are very acute. The printing of deposit slips is very helpful and saves time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, cheap, and easy
If you don't mind spending $7 a month for very simple solution to certain problems, .Mac is the way to go. Yes there are free options that do the same, there are cheaper options that do the same, but you know what, if you are like me and don't have the time to search and decide and weigh features to save yourself a crummy $2-$7 an month, many easy to use (and therefore quick to use and learn) features are there. I can post pictures on the internet in 3 clicks from attaching the camera! This service simplifies several areas of my life, keeps me from having to carry a PDA, learning how to make websites, and lets me make good enough ones in a minute or two for various functions. I would complain that if you need to store and move large files back and forth from .Mac that it's not very fast, but it works just fine. I have never had a problem with my mail going down or other service interuptions.
1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING!
I am a die-hard Apple fan - I love their products but I have to say that .Mac is about as bad as it gets. For 79 dollars a year you get 512mb which is nothing. I've had the service for about 6 months and only backing up my personal settings the thing is full. And as others have said this is SOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOW it's pathetic. I have cable internet and it is slow - I can't even imagine how bad it is for people with DSL or Dialup. I am cleaning out my iDisk as I write this review in order to make room for more- it has been at least 10 minutes trying to delete older backups to make room for newer ones.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Ability to be Global & Untethered
I have been on a 3-week road trip and able to take care of all my business thanks to the idisk feature of .mac which allows me to store all my document templates on an interent hard-drive site. This has made it possible for me to NOT lug around a laptop all over the world, but rather to create invoices and work orders by accessing my pre-prepared documents from any internet cafe or business center I stumbled across.FREEDOM!!!!! ... When Apple introduced its first generation of Intel-powered Macs, the "Are you a Mac or aPC person" question suddenly became moot. With the new Intel Mac machines, you can have the best of both Macintosh and PC worlds. Unfortunately, switching between operating systems on the new Intel Macs can be a time-consuming process. You must completely shut down OS X and endure a full start-up cycle in order to run Windows. That's where Parallels Desktop for Mac comes in. With Parallels Desktop, you can run Windows applications along with your Macintosh programs -- right on your Mac, side-by-side -- so you never have to suffer through frustrating shut-downs and re-boots just to run a program you want.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars so much faster than Virtual PC
As a long-time Apple/Mac user whose office is PC based, I used Virtual PC for years. It saved me the cost of having to buy a Windows PC, but was sometimes agonizingly slow. Parallels on my MacBook runs refreshingly fast. It was fairly easy to install. The only problem with Parallels is that you need to buy a copy of the operating system and install it on Parallels. In my case I bought and installed XP Pro. I had some minor issues when trying to run a wireless app (SlingPlayer), but solved these fairly quickly. All other applications (all business) have installed and run with no problems.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple to Use, Value for the Money, Stable
I am not going to repeat all the great things about this product, but I am going to clear up some confusion for the rest of us.Unlike what the other recommender wrote, I had no problems with my Dell Photo 720 USB Printer (maybe s/he forgot to "connect" the printer). In the world of Parallels Desktop for Mac, all devices, e.g. iSight, USB ports, disc drives..., could be connected to either Mac OS X or Windows, but not simulateously. Therefore, his/her USB printer was probably "connected" to Mac OS X but not to Windows.
2-0 out of 5 stars This is still in Beta
They have no business using you as their venture capitalist and making you pay to be a beta tester. It's chocky full of bugs. i.e. You can't use a USB printer in Windows XP., many more known bugs ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excelent! for a while...
I had The Sims 1 for a long time before I got this game, and I was looking forward to its release in Mac. I wasn't disappointed. This is a really fun game, with alot of new features. Unfortunately, like the old one, I became easily tired with it. The Sims 2 gets pretty repetative. It is still worth it, because if you get a new expansion pack every once in a while it makes it really fun again.
    1-0 out of 5 stars Slow on 1.5GHz w/ 1.25GbRam
I've got a 12'' PowerPC PowerBook with 1.5GHz cpu, 1.25Gb of ram, and 64mb graphic card. And the game is very choppy and laggy. This definitely detracts a lot from the game play.
4-0 out of 5 stars Runs better on Mac
If you have a Mac, this game is worth getting. It has cool videos to go with special scenes which is a neat new feature.I find that it runs better on the Mac but that may be because I didn't have a very good PC.I've always been in to playing the Sims so if you like the Sims this is a good buy. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING!!!DO NOT BUY
As aDigital Photographer and a MAC user, I found iPhoto crashes when you try to IMPORT any DIGITAL (only)l pictures from Adobe Photosop CS & Adobe Elemebts 2. I can downlaod my pictures to iPhoto from my Digital camera (D70), export them to my pictures folder, adjust the pictures using either above mentioned software, but cannot Import any of them. Go to MacRumors, you'll see that you're not alone.Hey APPLE?? When are you going to fix this????

    4-0 out of 5 stars iPhoto 6

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful computer animation and fun story
Kids don't usually learn much science (in public school anyway) and this computer game REALLY helps to fill that void. It is educational, VERY attractively designed, interesting, and my [...] daughter really enjoys it! It's not too hard either.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good blend of storytelling and fun
We got "Math Blaster" for our six-year-old, who has been a very savvy computer user since he was 18 months old.It was so difficult to maneuver the character (jump over wrong answers, run through correct ones) he actually cried over it.
5-0 out of 5 stars My 5 year old adores this game!
My 5 year old son love the Mia character and the stories. He loves the math(which does involve time), too! Even though the age group for this game is 6-10, he had no problems on Level 1. He only needed a little help with the time telling. As for the people that say this isn't educational enough I would say that it's not boring! My son has played the game over and over and never tires of Mia! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice results but lousy user experience
I'm always reluctant to upgrade any Adobe products and the upgrades from Elements 2 to 3 to 4 have been no different.I upgraded to 4 simply because 3 would not run when we switched to Tiger on our Quicksilver.3 would run fine on two Powerbooks with the same flavor of Tiger, but not on the Quicksilver (???).
5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
It takes a little time and effort to learn but is well worth it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Slow and clumsy
I bought the elements ready to take on my photo library and have fun editing.Unfortunately, after photoshop successfully and easily organized my photos, the rest was downhill. If you're in the market for a photo organizer, this is a great product, but if you want to edit photos in ANY way, don't get your hopes up.It is exhaustingly clumsy! It's editing functions are not user friendly, are slow, and it even freezes regularly while editing.I give this 2 stars for it's organizing capabilities and 0 stars for it's editing capabilities.I'll probably try a few other products or keep this one for organizing and use another for editing until someone gets it right. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Outrageous system requirements
What else can one say.My PowerBook is barely a year old and this game drags it to a complete halt.Very sad.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow...I mean, "WOW"
OK, turn based strategy games are not for everyone, so if you've played them and don't like them, move on.If not, then keep reading.
3-0 out of 5 stars Hold Out with Civ3 Complete Instead
In late 2002, I took a second job at a major electronics retailer and decided to use my employee discount on what looked like a cool game: Civilization III.That game changed my life... in the gaming sense. It was everything I ever thought a computer game should be: turn-based strategy with multiple avenues to test my ego and self-promoted genius.Above all features of Civ3, however, my most favorite was the customization of the game through the map editor and the wonderful online resources of the Civ community.(I've downloaded more Civ3 files than MP3s.)This allowed me to express my self-proclaimed genius with new rules, technologies, and units (and all the accompanying chronologies and requisites) at my discretion.Nothing could get any better, I had thought.
