Decorate Cinderella's castle, filling it with furnishings, pictures, and even food before bringing in the world's most downtrodden stepdaughter and her friends. With this game, Cinderella fans ages 5 and older can design their heroine's living spaces, print out especially well-decorated rooms, and experiment with a new variation on the age-old pastime of playing with dolls.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars basically a dollshouse
The game lives up to its name, its a dollshouse. You pick the furniture and put it where you like almost as a number of things refuse to allow you to place them where you want even when there is plenty of room. You cannot place an object or person behind another item unless you put the back item in first.5-0 out of 5 stars A very Good Game
My 5 year old enjoys this very much. She got it last year from Santa, so she was able to navigate it at age 4. This is her favorite of the Princess Games. However, she gets very frustrated with the Fairy Godmother telling her "No Room There", because while you can drag and drop the furniture, you cannot overlap it. When the room is full, nothing else will go in. 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Kids Games We Own!
We bought this game two months ago, along with two other kids games, and this one is by far our favorite kids game! When I say we, I mean my 7 year old who bought it with birthday money, her two sisters who are old enough to play computer games, me, my friend who lives with us (age 21), even my husband has sat down and messed around with it. It is just addictive, and fun. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a terrific product for little Little Bear fans
We have already tried a number of software products for young children, and I would rank this as one of the very best. The material is true to the children's series, so you see most of the characters from the show (Owl, Cat, Hen, Duck, Father Bear -- though not Emily or Little Bear's grandparents) and Little Bear and Mother Bear's voices seem to be voiced by the same voice actors as those of the television show.5-0 out of 5 stars You'll Have to beg them to get off the computer!
My son played with this software on the computer at our town library's children's room and I had to beg him to leave the library! We went back a few more times and I finally realized that this software would capture and keep his attention over and over again. He even asked for the software for his 4th Birthday present! Since he loved it, I thought it was great, and the librarians thought it was educational, I purchased it for him.Happy Birthday Tyler!

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Bear - Rainy Day Activities
I read the reviews before I bought this product and found them so helpful I thought I'd write my own.My daughter loves this game. She's 3 and a half and can get around all by herself. The card memory game is so good for them yet simple enough so that it's not frustrating for them.Adding sprinkles and decorating cookies is also one of her favorites. There's so many variations to this game I'm sure your child will have a favorite, too.Enjoy!! ... After a storm breaks the radio tower on Birdwell Island, Clifford the Big Red Dog and his master, Emily Elizabeth, decide to make music with friends Charley, Cleo, and T-Bone. Kids join them in the fun by making instruments, singing songs, sorting shells, dancing with the dogs, and more. The program's 19 age-appropriate activities challenge children (ages 4 to 6) to develop their memory, logic, and early-math skills. An automatic help tool allows for self-guided play, while all activities progress according to children's skill level. Once they've assembled all the instruments, kids get to create their own music with Clifford and his very big band. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Trick your kids into learning
This game was purchased for a young girl aged 4 years 8 mo.She had very little computer experience, and a little phonic work in Pre-K.This game was right up her alley. Some of the tasks were easy, giving her a sense of mastery, but the difficulty level increases nice and slow and she didn't even realize. They mix in fun non-learning activities as a reward (decorating the float). As a result, her reading skills have significantly improved in the past month and so have her computer mousing skills.Haven't found a good typing game for a 4 year old yet, that's next.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Game
This game is awesome and teaches kids phonics, letter recognition, matching, numbers, and they don't even know they are learning becuase they are having fun. They complete tasks and get fun prizes that boost self confidence. It helps kids navigate on the computer and gets them comfortable with a mouse.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this software game!
My daughter just turned 3 years old in October and she loves this game. It's very educational and fun at the same time. She was able to navigate through the carnival games right from the start so it's very user friendly. While she's known all her capital letters and the sounds each letter makes for some time now, she's learning to recognize the lower case letters and to spell 3 and 4 letter words from using this game. She's only had it for a few days but I can already see she's learning a lot from playing with it.I highly recommend this one for it's educational value. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
I bought Tonka Construction, because of the good reviews. If I can save one person from buying this then I am happy! First the game is very hard to control you have to position the trucks exactly right or they will not do the task. It was very hard for me. My daughter (7) did not like it, because it was to hard to move! I bought it for my 3 year old boy so you can imagine the disaster. The game has a very good idea, but just poor quality. The choices are so few you play the same 3 games over build a road, clear an avalanch and build one of 3 buildings in the city. Wish I had not bought this game, get tonka town that is a Great!

3-0 out of 5 stars great game, horrible implementation
Most kids love trucks and construction, so this game should be a smash hit. There are lots of trucks to paint and use on a wide variety of fun construction tasks -- building a castle, clearing an avalanche, etc -- and the kids do love it.But they also get very frustrated. The game crashes often and you can't save, so all the work is lost, and about half the time the crash requires you to reboot the whole computer. The cursor disappears at important times and they game is fussy about getting a veicle to a precise spot before it will let ou move on.Also, it's not always clear what is expected next.2-0 out of 5 stars Good game, lousy UI
I bought the Tonka Construction Game for my 3 year old. First note to parents. This game ONLY runs under 256 color mode which means I have to keep changing the color depth down. Its annoying especially for someone like myself who programs software and knows it would have been trivial for them to allow the game to run under higher resolutions just not lower. Anyway, that aside the game is dearly loved by my 3 year old at least until he gets one of the trucks stuck in some corner of the map. It also has sub-par mouse movement making it not that hard to do and once it does you have no out other then killing the program using task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL). HASBRO big tech note here, EVERY game should respond to the user hitting the escape key and perform some intelligent exit ideally from the current scene or at least the game itself. So despite all of this, I will probably look at Tonka 2 because the game premise is good and every kid loves trucks. Hopefully, they will fix these somewhat obvious UI issues in which case Tonka 2 could really be a good choice for children's software. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Won't install under Win XP
The disneyinteractive.com customer support section has an entry for the problem but no solution. Calling their 888 number you learn that you need to send your CD-ROM (with a receipt) in to Disney for a swap. Apparently the problem is so ingrained in the software that it can't be published on the internet as an update. What a drag!

5-0 out of 5 stars ALL of my kids love this game!
I have three kids who LOVE this game. (A 5,7 and 9 year old.) It is fun and entertaining for all of them! My 7 and 9 year old girls especially like the "Comic Book Creator" My 5 year old son likes all the games, especially "Traffic Cones" and "The Toy Shelf" I have caught him laughing and having lots of fun when he plays! Based on my childrens reaction I Highly recommend this one! If you are looking for a fun game and love Toy Story, BUY THIS!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy It!
I'm with the majority on this one. This is a TERRIBLE program, well below the standards you would normally associate with the Disney brand. My 4 year-old, who is well-versed in children's computer software, lost interest almost immediately. The games are boring, lack depth and replay value, and are difficult to operate--most use the arrow keys to navigate instead of the mouse or track ball which we use. The printing projects lack choices, although they do produce nice output. All in all, a major disappointment.Read more

My two-year old likes Franklin so I bought this CD with the idea of saving it for a year or two, but when he recently began using the mouse I decided to let him try this program. He loves it. Because he is younger, there are a couple of things he has trouble with, such as the Frogger-type game (hosted by Beaver, not Bear, as stated in the editorial review) and with Rabbit's difference detective game. However, he enjoys the poster making with Franklin, the friendship bracelets with Bear, hide-and-seek with Fox, and putting together the dinosaurs with Snail. All the original voices from the show seem to be here, lending to its authenticity.4-0 out of 5 stars Challenging at times, yet hours of fun.

1-0 out of 5 stars virtual springfield - waste of money
I purchased Virtual Springfield for my sons. The computer disc came promptly, sooner than expected. The disc worked one day.Since the one time that the children used this disc, it has not worked.I have tried it on 2 PCs, 3 MACs (it is supposed to be read both by PCs and MACs).I have taken it to work and tried it on my computer at work.We have tried it on the original computer where it worked the first time. The disc no longer works. It is not damaged in any way that I can discern. When I called the technical support number, it rings to a private residence. The answering machine states that it is not the technical support desk. This leads me to believe that I am not the only one who has had problems with this computer disc.Needless to say, my childen are immensely disappointed. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend that this item be purchased. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

1-0 out of 5 stars The beginning of what is known as the Simpsons Curse for me
While the curse began with "Cartoon Studio" for many Simpsons fans, it began with Virtual Springfield for me. Now, I'll began by saying that this is one of the worst designed game ever. The developers attempted to use the "Kids game" excuse, but they even fail at that.
1-0 out of 5 stars Barrels of Disappointment
There's no word to describe the disappointment I felt when I played this; there's not even a sesquipedalian, to my knowledge, that can aptly convey my chagrin. The Simpsons are such a wonderful thing and I thought I would get to partake in their fun, but instead I got to observe as they pass me in the street and rummage through their drawers while they're out. Yes, this was somewhat amusing, but overall a let down. There are mini games and some items to collect to access other areas, but that's as much activity as this game offers. The graphics are good, the voices are the same as the show's, and there are some nice things here, but the difference between what I expected and what I got is as big as Texas.

I haven't actually played the game yet, but I have done a lot of research on it.It looks like a game that will be beneficial to girls of all ages, and will teach them lessons about computers and the internet that they will be able to take with them throughout their lives.I would highly sugest this software. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for little starters!
My daughter began with Freddi Fish at the age of 3 years. She would play on the computer for hours, and she was learning while having fun. This is a great program for little starters, to begin learning how to use the mouse and how to use basic computer skills. It would make an excellent gift!

5-0 out of 5 stars Freddi 3: Conch Shell
My parents bought this game for my daughter.Being somewhat of a "game snob," I was somewhat skeptical of its merit. This game turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise! It was quite enjoyable, reminiscent of those old Infocom games I played as a child. My three-and-a-half-year-old daughter absolutely loved it.She was glued to the computer for a month, and would probably have remained there longer if Christmas hadn't come.As it is, she still revisits this game occassionally.5-0 out of 5 stars Wish it had lasted forever
My sisters and I loved this game, right up until they discontinued the server that passed our games back and forth. Now we can't play anymore and we sure do miss it.We are in four different states and we used to be able to keep in touch daily. After you take your turn you can add a message and it feels like you aren't very far away at all!It used to be so much fun to check my email and see how many Scrabble turns I had waiting. One sister and I always had several games going at once! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars typical Disney: looks good, no substance
This disk has very little to recommend it.It's little more than a collection of dinosaur-themed games -- and pretty uninteresting (and annoying) games at that.Nor is there any educational content to speak of.My six-year-old son lost interest in it after about 10 minutes.

5-0 out of 5 stars My 5 year old son loves this game!
This game has been well worth the [money] I paid when the game first came out! My 5-year-old son is a dinosaur fanatic and has logged hours and hours on this game over the past year! His favorite game is Colosol Fossil Face Off, a chess type game where the heros of the movie "Face Off" against the villainous meat eaters! Great game for developing strategies!5-0 out of 5 stars Hours of Fun

2-0 out of 5 stars PURE GENIUS
I don't understand the negative reviews of this product and to be quite honest I smell an agenda behind them.My son sat here and was completely taken by this program. The creativity that went into this project is so refreshing and everybody I've shown it to feel's this way as well. This type of learning is about intuition and creativeinteractive freedom. It doesn't need a manual or directions since there is no winning involved. It makes you see the alphabet like a child again, full of excitement and mystery.I can also suggest trying to find the author's other interactive program "midnight play" which is also full of visual and sonic beauty.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
All I have to say is WOW!Alphabet is children's software at its finest. This game not only introduces kids to the letters of the alphabet but also to the mouse and keyboard.I enjoyed playing with my daughter because the graphics are so rich and the music is fascinating. This game is really about art.Like a wonderful picture book, Alphabet has given our family hours of enjoyment.

3-0 out of 5 stars Still don't understand
I have used several beginning alphabet programs with my 7 year old.I was looking for something new for my 4 year old and this was well reviewed.I find it totally incomprehensible. It was somewhat entertaining for the 7 year old.We kept trying to guess which letter was represented on the screen. It was useless for letter recognition or phonic sound. ...
