1-0 out of 5 stars never delivered!!
I would like to review this game but i havent recieved it!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Loved it...when i could play it
I used to play this all the time when i was young and it was honestly one of my absolute favorite games.I was able to play it on my XP OS in 2003 (changed the color settings and it was fine) but uninstalled the program.I tried to install it again fairly recently and now it won't work. It's a shame really.I wish they'd make an updated version that works with XP as this is a great learning tool for kids.I was barely finishing grade school when I got this game and it really strengthened my knowledge of Geography.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game For All Ages!

5-0 out of 5 stars XP tips
This was my favorite game as a kid. I learned a lot from it, and I remember it as being fun. Now I'm a teen and I'm testing to see if the game works on Windows XP so I can give the game away (as an AP history student, I've outgrown it). It works witha few modifications. The day you install it, only play 2 cases; the third one freezes. Also, when you have to insert the second disk it tends to freeze. It will save your cases though, so just restart your computer, put in the second disk, and play. As a general rule, I wouldn't play more than about four, possibly five cases at a time. Also ignore the horrible synching, the characters aren't really mouthing the words they're saying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
I have owned this game since I was five years old, and I'll tell ya' something: No matter how long Iv'e owned this game, (as long as I don't play it more than seven times a year) I never get sick of it! It's just one of those games that is incredibly fun every time you play it. It is also the perfect length, not too short, but not so long that you get bored. It is a two-disc game, with nine levels on the first disc, and nine on disc two. All of the levels are so different, that you can never get sick of it. Another score is that Amazon offers new, factory-sealed copies of it for VERY low prices. So, since Iv'e owned it for a very long time, take my advice and get your copy of one of the best games ever created.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Game Ever
I bought this game because I was bored. And my parents wanted me to buy an educational game. I played it, exepecting to be scared, ( I was in second grade and Carmen terrified me.)but it ended up, once I beat it, I played it over again! And again, and again, and again! I love Carmen's games now ever since I played this one. I am in middle school now, and there are things I learned in this game my teachers didn't cover bacause it was " too advanced " If you are a student reading this review, beg your parents for this game. If you are a parent, beg your kids to buy it. Once they beat it, you play it! My parents learned things when I asked for help. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and challenging.
My 4year old loved this game right away and so far she has only completed level one.(kept her interested for hours)Lots of variety.Style of the game is similar to "Freddi Fish and the stollen conch shell."

4-0 out of 5 stars Solid education and fun but lacking Pizazz
My four-year-old daughter likes this program but it is not one of her favorites.I'm at a loss as to how I should criticize it because it seems to be missing a polished edge quality that is hard to explain. It's as if it is trying to be cool but... The activities are educational, the graphics are captivating, and usually "space" is an exciting backdrop for an adventure.I think, however, that it's missing some punch which would allow me to give it five stars. It is certainly worth playing if your child needs many choices of computer games like my girl does.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Treat
The back story is always grounded in a real disastrous event in Katherine Diane Cadell's life. Quicker than you can say, "Oh, no!" her imagination creates a related adventure with the Star Flyers and her as Katie Cadet - leader of the pack. And the pack includes AJwho has special powers for each mission, Io, a fire breathing dog and Klanker, a very strong robot.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not very educational
I bought this software after reading the reviews.Yes, this game is fun and my sons love to play it.But, that is all it is.Mostly they are just games. We have many other software titles where the children are always learning when they are playing. My children want to play this game. However, I want my children to use the computer as a learning tool, not a gameboy.

4-0 out of 5 stars very good
i like arthurs show and books but this is my first game of arthur. i have 3 sisters and a brother so its hard to get to the computer because its always "taken" but this a great game and im 9 so i will complain, it could have more games and harder puzzles oh and they could work on the graphics. well mostly im gonna tell you i love it and this is my first review. overall this game is good and is fun while i have time on the computer. but get it for younger ages.bye

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for little ones, Great bargin for parents!
We purchased this when my son was 4 and a half and he was able to immediately enjoy most all of the elements of the game right away with my help.Within a month he could do the game on his own, with only one game where he needed my help. The game is for kids 5-8...however there are a couple of the games I really like and I suspect there are older children who would like them as well!4-0 out of 5 stars holy monkey foot this parts hard!
I'm 11 and my sister just got this game for easter she really liked this game until she got to planet "bowlorama", she said that the game was way to hard for her and that she needed help so I said I would help and thought it would be a snap. But when I started playing I realized This game was not rated for the right age group witch was5-8, and I really think that the next time they make another game to rate it differently. But other than that I do think she really enjoyed this game so she raited it a 4.4-0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational even for younger players
My three (and a half) year old daughter became interested in this game after we received a promotional CD at our local science museum. She loves this game, and has made great progress playing a couple of times per week over the last few months.I think this game will hold her interest for several years, since there are three levels of difficulty.Read more

Carmen Sandiego is a thorn in the ACME Detective Agency's side. A brilliant globe-trotting thief, she learned all of her best tricks in her days as ACME's greatest operative. Now, she has used those skills to steal a rare book about Marco Polo. It is up to her former partner, an untested rookie, and--most importantly--you, the player, to stop her.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST GAME EVER
We have it and it is so fun I love playing it! It NEVER gets boring. I play it for HOURS everyday I can.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Game
I am over the age to be playing this as it says on the box, but I still find it very interesting and play it when I'm bored and just feel like playing something. The fact that I beat the game before has kind of taken out the fun of not knowing what will happen next, but when I first bought it the game was challanging and exciting. I recomend it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Technical difficulties
If you have an Nvidia graphics card don't get this game. There is something about the drivers that doesn't allow it to play. I spent hours trying the tech support offered on the website and installing older drivers, as suggested by another website, neither of which worked. I popped it into my mom's Compaq computer and it works perfectly. It's a fun game if you aren't comparing it to games nowadays. Very nostalgic.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
We had the original version of this game, and it was one of my kids' favorites. We upgraded to get a copy that runs under Windows XP. My kids also love this version of the game. There are more options for play than in the original version of the game, and everything seems to work well. I feel it was well worth the purchase price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun for everyone involved
I was very happy with this game- it took the bets parts of the previous Oregon Trail incarnations and wove them together for a good overall product.I can appreciate a company which recognizes both the weaknesses and the strengths of their products and uses this information to get better. In this Oregon Trail you can once again chose how many you will travel with and name them (for some crazy reason this feature was eliminated in the 4th Oregon Trail edition), but you can also CHOOSE the times you stop to collect wild fruit or fish, instead of these circumstances just happening randomly (which does not make as much sense). To me, these were the biggest changes to previous games, but they were improvements.

This game can be found for sale on amazon by typeing the game name in and adding macplay to the front of the name ! why I don't know. but they have four buyers waiting here for it and it is available under the other name? Who knows?

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh my God, the king of all games!
This is my undisputed favorite game ever. A little frustrating at the beginning. However, once you get out of the initial dungeon, the fun begins. You play in a vast city where you are able to do what you want when you want. There is absolutely no order that you must quest in. You go from district to district picking up different quests and growing levels as you gain new powers. What you do effects your future in the game and each class has his or her own spicific questline. For example, if you are a rogue, you can join the ranks of the crime organization known as the shadow thieves and eventually become the leader of the chapter. If you area wizard or sorcerer, you can take work in the wizard's guild and go on to own your own lab. If you are a cleric, you can join your church and become a minister. The list goes on and on. Although the game does eventually end, you can start the game over again with your same character at the same level so you can progress to yout max power. Greatest game ever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very addictive
I originally bought this game for my PC.Then, when I converted, I looked at all the games on the Mac.Dungeon Siege didn't have the same type of game play, and Icewindale was just too outdated. However, I loved Baldur's Gate so much...that I bought it again, only the Mac version. The graphics are not the latest and greatest compared to what is out now, but they are very attractive. The big thing for me is the gameplay. The newer games are designed around the user playing only one character. In BG2, I had more fun creating different parties and combinations on my own.The only complaint I had, really, was that this has an experience point cap, so you can't get all the highest level spells and abilities. But, if you buy the BG2, Throne of Baal, it removes that cap and adds even more spells.I recommend this to anyone who loves the original feel of the D&D game. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars game is O.K.

4-0 out of 5 stars ClueFinders Toy Store - Russian Blue Witch reviews
I really like this. If you don't know who the ClueFinders are, click Laptrap (the yellow floating guy) and click on the ClueFinders Club button. I used to think it was a club you join and pay money but no, it's just an information center. You might as well know you need to get 3 of everything, I didn't know that with the spark plugs, I only got one. The spark plugs is the map game witch other reviews complain about. It's not confusing, it's just boring. My favorite game is where you experiment to knock down the toys but I only play it 3 times because I don't want the ClueFinders to have any proof that they went on there adventure. Originally, I'd do 20. Eldon the Elevator takes a really long time on level 4. I really liked the plot and I always make up stories where kids are in stores after they close. Ali Trap is really cute & I wish she was in more games besides Reading Adventures where she dosen't talk and is duplicated. This game is best for high-ish ages who know a lot about multiplication & division. Don't get fooled by the box, the robo dog is actullay good by giving them a smart chip for the unshrinker. Signed, RBW

5-0 out of 5 stars Seems to be a good game..
I bought this game as a part of a three pack for Cluefinders.AFterwards I read a review where a person had trouble installing this on an XP system. That was one reason why I bought this game as the box states "Now Featuring XP compatibility.". With a bit of trepidation, I installed it in my computer, and then let my 8 year old have at it.I must say installation on the XP system went fine and after only about 3 hours of play we haven't noticed any strange glitches. This is definitely more of a learning game as opposed to a more fun style of game like Pajama Sam or Spy Fox.I saw that my child had to fill in the blanks of sentences, using words provided, and then arrange those sentences into a sensible paragraph. That provided a bit of frustration, and even the proper arrangement wasn't obvious to me.Still,by randomly moving the sentences around, you can eventually get the answer they are looking for.Same with the math questions. You will get an equation to solve and about 25 different answers are on the screen, and you click on the right one.I have no doubt my child just clicks till she gets the right one if she doesn't know how to do the equation. For less then ten dollars I got 3 Cluefinders games, and with only trying this one game, I am satisfied with the purchase. It seems perfect for this age group of 7-12 years where Reader Rabbit and cutesy games are too easy for them, and they want to feel like they are solving a mystery but also practicing school skills. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Super Software for Primary/Elementary Math Skills
As an Elementary Special Education Teacher I found this software to be invaluable for students with or without special needs. The kids love it!I use it both at school and at home with nieces and nephews. Also great for eye/hand coordination, reasoning, quick thinking and memory.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is wonderful!
My youngest who is an ADHD kid will beg to get on M&M's to pratice her math, and she will get on it for hours. Since she has been on the game, her basic math skill got huge improvement. Plus, if she didn't finish her chores, she doesn't get to go on it, therefore, she will get them done. It was working fantasticly for us, I never have to worry about her not practicing her math skill. Try it, it is wonderful!

I bought this for my son's 4th birthday because he loves the M&M's characters. This is such a cool imaginative game. The graphics are excellent, it's challenging without being too tough, and the music is nicely put together with the different levels.Very entertaining. My son is now 4 1/2 and he has taught me a few things about the game that I even missed. The math levels are also a great thing to get kids to learn without knowing they are. Also, it's very refreshing from some other games that are too violent or serious that are marketed to children. ... That is what is SO great about Imaginext--finally a toy that will cause even older kids to leave the computer and video games.Luckily, I think he found the software to be boring. He played it one evening and that was it.Money wasted, yes. But, I'm glad he's back to creating on his own.I also regret that Imaginext made a video to go with the toy.Let the kids make up the stories! ... This is another solid entry in the ClueFinders line. I've used these titles with 3 kids so far, and we all love them. They strike a great balance - making the kids practice the skills they're learning in school, but in a fun way that they look forward to.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A word to the wise
I just wanted to make a couple of comments. Firstly, in the light of the first review, above -- we too thought that we had a defective copy because we couldn't get past the first stage and couldn't find all the objects. However, the key to success is that rather than "giving" the help-objects to Arthur to carry out tasks with, you have to "give" them to the thing you're trying to get. Once you've figured this out, it becomes much more straightforward to progress.
4-0 out of 5 stars Am I missing Something?
My boys (ages 5/6) could not get past level one on this game. Some of the items that needed to be found, never made their appearance. I even tried.Perhpas we got a bad copy.4-0 out of 5 stars Endless fun
My six and nine year olds have a blast with this.At first they were a bit confused about what to do but once they figured it out they loved it.There are different scenarios, much like the Freddi Fish games so it is never boring. ... Read more

    1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy
Unfortunately, we were sucked in by other "good" reviews but when we got it, it was a disaster. First, it took forever, to install. Second, it will not install on the hard disk and requires loading the CD-ROM each time which means the adults must do it. Third, the user spends very little time doing math problems because the user must go through first a lengthy story which cannot be skipped each time a new game is loaded, and then must spend an inordinate amount of time taking a journey between phases of the math game trying to locate secret clues as to how to open the game. There are no solutions available and the user can get stuck . Next, the program can be adjusted for different levels of ability but when we set it at seven years, it went to third and fourth grade math. Maybe, in Japan but not here. Moreover, the program sometimes locks up. There are much better programs available which do not have these hang-ups and are a better buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Notice: Game Version
The current version of Mia's Math Adventure's is 2.0.
5-0 out of 5 stars This Is Not Boring!
My four-year-old daughter is almost through level one now without my help. She complains that it is gboringh but then keeps playing it for more than an hour after her complaint.I think her frustrations come from being unable to easily and quickly navigate around Miafs world.Sometimes when I come to help her because she is stuck, I see that she has clicked on everything too quickly while trying to find what she needs to do next, so the game cannot properly respond. So far the math in level one has been no trouble at all.The difficult part was the days of the week, which she is now learning thanks to this fun, educational program.I look forward to seeing level two soon! The Math Rabbit program we had before this was truly boring for her. This is a welcome addition to our CD-ROM case. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars This Game is Awesome!
This game is a must for any Daria fan! I bought it last year from amazon and I loved it!! (Yeah by the way I'm really 16, not under 13, but I don't have my own account so I'm posting my review like this...) Okay so anyway, this game is really fun and amusing. And it's really funny because it has all these jokes from Daria and Sick Sad World. If you love the show, you'll love this game. Especially since the graphics make it look like a real episode of Daria - it's animated the same way and looks awesome - it's like being in an actual episode that you control! And although I will agree that this game is more for real Daria fans than hardcore gamers, it's still pretty challenging because there are some obstacles and puzzles that do take some thought to figure out (although nothing is too annoying or impossible to figure out). It's a very enjoyable gam eto play! And once you finish, it's fun to go back and play again with a friend (although it's only for one player at a time - but alternating is fun). Yeah, so buy this game because I promise you'll love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!
This is a great game and a must buy for any Daria fan. I just recieved my copy today, it's pretty easy, and only took up 2 and a half hours win it. It starts out with Daria falling asleep while her English Teacher is reading a book about hell, she dreams that she's in her own personal hell and she has to recover some items stolen from the school to wake up. Once you have recovered all the items you wake up.

3-0 out of 5 stars Short, but not sooo simple...
Well, before buying Daria's Inferno I knew and loved the series, of course and I also read all the reviews before eventually deciding to purchase it. I agree that the game is pretty short and offers hardly any extras. However, I disagree with it being so simple as some people said. I may not play as many games as other users, but honestly, who never failed when trying to mess with the heating system in the cellar, for instance? And this is just the first level! Yes it is short but no, it defenitely is not only simple. There are some tricky parts you have to cope with before finishing the game. For the record: I'm 27 and therefore way beyond the age of the target group but probably still a typical Daria fan.Read more
