5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful computer animation and fun story
Kids don't usually learn much science (in public school anyway) and this computer game REALLY helps to fill that void. It is educational, VERY attractively designed, interesting, and my [...] daughter really enjoys it! It's not too hard either.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good blend of storytelling and fun
We got "Math Blaster" for our six-year-old, who has been a very savvy computer user since he was 18 months old.It was so difficult to maneuver the character (jump over wrong answers, run through correct ones) he actually cried over it.
5-0 out of 5 stars My 5 year old adores this game!
My 5 year old son love the Mia character and the stories. He loves the math(which does involve time), too! Even though the age group for this game is 6-10, he had no problems on Level 1. He only needed a little help with the time telling. As for the people that say this isn't educational enough I would say that it's not boring! My son has played the game over and over and never tires of Mia! ... Read more

Editorial Review

"Not too long ago, Zoombinis enjoyed the good life. Though they alllooked slightly different--different eyes, noses, hair, feet--such differencesmeant nothing to the Zoombinis. And so they lived happily on Zoombini Isle, making small, useful products, which were prized the world over." So begins anunsuspectingly addictive CD-ROM, featuring uncommonly fun reasoning games thatrequire serious problem solving and math-thinking work. Yet the perils that facethis cheerful society are not as fearsome as the amount of time you'llpotentially spend on this pursuit. Beware the chubby, chattering Zoombinis ifyou don't want to get hooked to your computer for at least 90 minutes asession!Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Why I like Zoombinis
Hi, my name is Manuel, I am 6 years old and I like Zoombinis a lot because of all the adventures they go through to pass activities and discover new lands. I also like them because the stories are very exciting.
5-0 out of 5 stars So much fun!
This is one of the very few computer games where there are no glitches. The graphics, sound, and over all logic of this game are wonderous. Though some people may say it is for younger kids- they are wrong, my olmost fourteen year old cousin loves it- and even adults like it! It's not the same puzzle over and over agin either- clear directions and changing goals and directions give this game a little lift. There is so much more I could talk about with this game- but I don't want to bore you- overall this game is great!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love'd this game!
I was probably 14 when I played Zoombinis. My aunt had it for my cousins and well for her too, and thought that I would really like it. Not only do you learn and have fun it's so addicting. The best part about it is that you don't even realize you are learning. I am now 24 and recently purchased the game for myself. Not because I need a refresher course but because I enjoyed it so much. I think that this is a great game for the classroom. I've encouraged many of my friends that educate to install into their classrooms. ... Read more

The game is great and WOW what awesome service as far as delivering the item in a timely manner and packaging it well!!! Check out the other versions available to see what the game is like - customers have left some very accurate and helpful reviews. Ignore the reviews that say you can play the old version from 1996 on a computer that has XP. You can't, but the newest version is meant for XP, so get that one if you need to. Great and very unique style of puzzles... will really exercise a kid's brain to the max. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Two winners in one package!
We purchased this for my 6-year-old when she was in kindergarten. Now she's in first grade and reading at a third-grade level.Pooh can bear a small part of the credit for that, as this bright, fun, joyous pair of CDs contains lots of good letter and word identification games that have helped her go from "I like Mommy and Daddy to read to me" to "Let me read to Mommy and Daddy."The math CD is just as much fun, but of course the game is numbers, not letters and words. These programs are perfectly on-target with the characters and with the teaching methods, and hey, everybody loves Pooh and his friends.Excellent package.

5-0 out of 5 stars Repurchasing because I loaned it out!
I am a home childcare provider and was a teacher and all the children have loved these. The reading one has helped all my children with letter identification and sounds and the math is excellent as well for counting, one to one correspondence and more.I believe in it so much, I am buying it for my second child to use. These are the best of the Pooh learning games if you ask me!

5-0 out of 5 stars The 3 kids love it!
We have three children ages 3, 3, and 5.All of them love it and I even enjoy taking a turn or two :).The games teachexcellent skills for school and stress math and reading in a fun and interesting way.The kids love earning items to be put in their garden and contraptions to be added to their treehouse. We have to set the timer so everyone gets a turn.Read more

The game itself seems very engaging - but my kids won't be able to play it, because it will only run on an administrator account under Windows XP.(Some games will allow you to run them under a regular account and just give the program administrator privelages, but this game won't do that either.)If you let your kids run your computer as an administrator, it is a fun game, though. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Super Software for Primary/Elementary Math Skills
As an Elementary Special Education Teacher I found this software to be invaluable for students with or without special needs. The kids love it!I use it both at school and at home with nieces and nephews. Also great for eye/hand coordination, reasoning, quick thinking and memory.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is wonderful!
My youngest who is an ADHD kid will beg to get on M&M's to pratice her math, and she will get on it for hours. Since she has been on the game, her basic math skill got huge improvement. Plus, if she didn't finish her chores, she doesn't get to go on it, therefore, she will get them done. It was working fantasticly for us, I never have to worry about her not practicing her math skill. Try it, it is wonderful!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Creative Game ****************
I bought this for my son's 4th birthday because he loves the M&M's characters. This is such a cool imaginative game. The graphics are excellent, it's challenging without being too tough, and the music is nicely put together with the different levels.Very entertaining. My son is now 4 1/2 and he has taught me a few things about the game that I even missed. The math levels are also a great thing to get kids to learn without knowing they are. Also, it's very refreshing from some other games that are too violent or serious that are marketed to children. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid This Product
I have purchased 30-40 software CD's for my 6 year old over the years and this CD has got to rate near the bottom of the bunch. In summary, there is very little explanation or instruction into the math or science concepts being "taught", the "game" aspect to theCDs is clunky at best, and it is just plain confusing.I have been sorely disappointed in these CDs and my daughter has very little, if any, interest in using these CDs although she loves to be on the computer. At the same time I boughtthese CDs, I also bought her a Magic School Bus title which was very good and which she asks to play.I have never written a review before this review but felt compelled to do it to alert other parents to avoid this title. Waste of your money, and of your child's patience and interest.

This is the third copy of Disney's Math Quest with Aladdin that I have purchased.I home school my three children and they have worn out each disk in turn.It is my three-year-old's turn now.In order to continue to find the characters and items in the game, the player must use math skills such as greater than/less than, addition, subtraction, multiplication, patterns, shapes, sequences, mosaics, even finding a path on a grid and following directions. If you can stand the voice of the bird (who by the way is the voice of "Digit" on PBS's "Cyberchase")then even you will enjoy these games. Many are like an old carnival.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for shapes, numbers and addition
The first thing that stands out about this title is the sensational cinema quality video (like the disney cartoon of the same name). It is just so much more attractive than other cheap looking kids maths programs. The adventure set up is also a great hook for kids and gets them in much more than the usual maths exercises after unrelated maths exercise in other programs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kids love growing gardens
This has been a popular game with all my kids, they enjoyed earning all the rewards for the garden.5-0 out of 5 stars Makes pre-Math fun!
We have had this software since my son was 18 months and now he is three. At first I would go through it with him and he enjoyed the beautiful garden and the Pooh characters. There are also alot of place where you can just click and make things happen - like a skunk stealing rabbit's flowers, a squirrel playing drums on the roof etc. Now he can do most of the games himself with a little help. You start out in the garden and can go from there either North, East or West - in each place you have a choice of going to someone's house - Tigger's, Rabbit's, Pooh's etc. and in each is a different math related game. Most of the games are very good - our favorites are Piglet's house in which you decorate two trays of cupcakes and then add how many total you have and Tigger's house where you drop different items into his machine (in the order on the blueprint) and then a contraption pops out at the end. When you finish 5 rounds of a game you get a prize for your garden like tomatoes to plant or a windmill, waterfall etc. in the end the garden gets quite elaborate. This software is well worth the money.

4-0 out of 5 stars Achieve! Math and Science Grades 3-6
My kids really love the game style of learning.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good theme, low quality software
The goal behind this software is great. We bought this to give our computer savvy child some practice on writing and language art. The software is not of good quality. It has hard to use user interface. Especially compared to other educational software, this lacks the finish. My son soon got bored and has never used this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Our kids favorite software -- my favorite too
We purchased Achieve Math and Science grades 1-3 for my two children, 5 and 6 years old. We purchased Reader Rabbit 1st grade at the same time. My children choose to use the Achieve software -- Reader Rabbit is almost untouched.Read more
