Editorial Review

Decorate Cinderella's castle, filling it with furnishings, pictures, and even food before bringing in the world's most downtrodden stepdaughter and her friends. With this game, Cinderella fans ages 5 and older can design their heroine's living spaces, print out especially well-decorated rooms, and experiment with a new variation on the age-old pastime of playing with dolls.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars basically a dollshouse
The game lives up to its name, its a dollshouse. You pick the furniture and put it where you like almost as a number of things refuse to allow you to place them where you want even when there is plenty of room. You cannot place an object or person behind another item unless you put the back item in first.5-0 out of 5 stars A very Good Game
My 5 year old enjoys this very much. She got it last year from Santa, so she was able to navigate it at age 4. This is her favorite of the Princess Games. However, she gets very frustrated with the Fairy Godmother telling her "No Room There", because while you can drag and drop the furniture, you cannot overlap it. When the room is full, nothing else will go in. 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Kids Games We Own!
We bought this game two months ago, along with two other kids games, and this one is by far our favorite kids game! When I say we, I mean my 7 year old who bought it with birthday money, her two sisters who are old enough to play computer games, me, my friend who lives with us (age 21), even my husband has sat down and messed around with it. It is just addictive, and fun. Read more

I really like this computer game because it uses parts-to-whole instruction - it introduces each chess piece separately with an interesting strategy game that teaches how it moves.

We were looking for a game for the PC for my brainy 8 year old. Most games for his age cause boredom, but so many "older" games have violence we dont want for him. This was the perfect balance! He has been on the computer with this game from the first day he received it (almost a week ago) and has enjoyed hours of play. As, parents, we are pleased to have found something we highly approve and something he likes...cannot wait to purchase the other Odyssey games! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Kid's edition, try high school/first-year college edition
This is not a "kid's edition" "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" These questions are difficult, as they have to be for the dollar amounts given. I expected a $16,000 question (the ninth out of the fifteen questions) to be one like "What is Tommy's last name on the "Rugrats" television series? with choices like A: Dill B: Pickles C: Onions D: Tomatoes Of course, that answer is B. Instead, a $16,000 qustion is one such as "Who was George Washington's vice-president? A: Thomas Jefferson B: John Adams C: Benjamin Franklin D: Ronald Reagan Of course, that answer is B, but I know it because I am an adult playing this game.
4-0 out of 5 stars Fun and challenging!
I have this game and at first, I only got to $100 or $200 but now I can reach like $8000 or even more! It is really really challenging sometimes. Sometimes it is scary when you answer a question that you are 99.9% sure is correct and you wait and wait and you find out it's wrong. I also don't like when they say you are a "cheater".

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but HARD
This is a really fun game!! But some of the questions are hard! When our relitives came to our house for Christmas, it took them probably at least several hours and at least two times starting over before they finally got it. I think the questions are aimed at kids that are about 10, 11. But still, this is a fun game. I would recommened it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A lot of Fun!
My 4yr old niece received this for her birthday and loves it!For a computer toy, it really encourages creativity. It includes seasonal activities, birthday, tea party, decorating a room and many others. There are enough options that she will not accomplish the skill, then be bored with the game. Her favorites are decorating the birthday cake and then watching the candles light; and also with Halloween approaching she can decorate her own Jack O'Lantern. My 3 yr old is able to do many of the activities also.I would really recommend this as a fun computer game. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fun
My Daughter has played this for years and now my 2 and half son has fun helping the hurt animals in the vet room. Simple fun game for young kids under 5 years is best.

5-0 out of 5 stars yay for pet shop
i love any game that has the word PET so i got this game. its so fun. i hate snakes but in this game they are so cute. its nasty that they eat eggs. i love have the animals act real and they sound real too. my favorite animals in this game are dogs, snakes, and rabbits. if you have a child that loves animals then you should get this game for them. i got this for christmas 2 years ago and i still enjoy it and play. its just so fun. i have to say its not like having a pet but it sure is like having an adoption center and thats better. this also teaches responsibilities(sorry about the spelling)im 11 and i learned a whole lot from this game. i thought having a pet was easy but its not. but at least i got my pet shop to look forward to the next day!!!:):):)bye

5-0 out of 5 stars I buy this for all my kids friends
I'm actually buying a replacement CD.My oldest daughter loved this, now my youngest daughter loves it but it got too scratched. It's great because it's so easy for them to learn and they can play it without getting frustrated (and I don't have to bail them out!)The song is nice, it's not violent, it teaches compassion and both of my girls now want to be veterinarians. My youngest was 3 when she first played this, now she's 5 and has a lot of other newer computer games but still likes to go back and play this one -- hence, the replacement CD. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Disney Princess Magical Dress-Up
My 4-year old daughter, who is really INTO princesses just now, LOVES this (though she is disappointed Cinderella is not a princess guide). She wants to play it daily, for up to 2 hours or more at a time. However, be forewarned, if they make a picture, they'll want to print it and it takes a toll on the color ribbon.Seems easy to use, she figured it out on her own without any adult help. There are a few games built-in, but basically it's just dressing up "dolls" in various ways. There does not seem to be LOTS of options though, so an older child (my 9 year old niece) would bore quickly. I think she'll tire of it eventually, but it's good for at least 6 months of dedicated interest as far as I can tell.Side note: we find the software often "misfires" and won't load for us.Our computer is easily powerful enough, etc. It could be Windows XP incompatibility, etc. But that does make using software a hassle since we have to reload it about a dozen times to get it to run sometimes. But if you have young daughter who is really into DIsney princesses, give this a try. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Freeverse 3D Pitch is a well done implementation
The 3D Hearts/Pitch pack will keep a Pitch or Hearts (or both) player busy for many hours.Beginners can play against the computer to learn the rules and then the strategies for these games then go online with the included GameSmith connection software (built into the game) to play with real people all over the world. The game really shines when able to play with others via GameSmith. One can play with or without offleading, partners, smudge, smudge wins all etc... and these games both support a choice of puppets, 2 of which, allow you to put a picture of your choice in their head.It is easy to chat while playing or out in a lobby trying to get a game going.Cards are social games and this product plays this up and delivers.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hearts, Spades, Pitch (Setback) Wow!
If you like the idea of playing games online with a friendly group of people then any Freeverse card game and an internet connection will bring you to a fabulous place to play. Unlike the randomness other places you can play, you play with people you get to know (and like!) and the level of conversation is always adult, but not vulgar. The graphics are great and the fun never stops. If you like card games, how can you go wrong for $20? Think of it as two pizzas, but these game will last a lot longer and bring you a lot more pleasure and fewer calories.

5-0 out of 5 stars Big fun for pitch players
I was pleasantly surprised after discovering the Freeverse community. Not only have I found lots of good Pitch and Hearts players, butas a bonus I foundplayers with a sense of humor. Unlike some sites where the lobby talk can get fairly nasty, this place refuses to put up with any swearing or bashing of any kind.Kind ofa nice environment. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a great way to bring out imagination
this game is really fun and it lets you imagine the way you want to. i recommand it. its not short its as long as you make it to be you can even put food commercials and have a special guest. you have very little to choose from the commercials and special guest but who cares i dont mind you shouldnt neither!!!! buy it you can make like 100 cartoons and it would save em all. warning:addiction may occure. :-)

1-0 out of 5 stars Extremely frustrating.I expect better from Disney.
I've just spent the last two hours playing this game with my children. What garbage.I guess for $7.99, you get what you pay for. Here are some of my complaints:
5-0 out of 5 stars A good Software
I saw this product and I really liked it. It can create Cartoons like the ones Disney creates. It can create cartoons how long you like not, only short. Wonderful, simply wonderful Software. I have many cartoon makers and creators but I really liked this one.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars PURE GENIUS
I don't understand the negative reviews of this product and to be quite honest I smell an agenda behind them.My son sat here and was completely taken by this program. The creativity that went into this project is so refreshing and everybody I've shown it to feel's this way as well. This type of learning is about intuition and creativeinteractive freedom. It doesn't need a manual or directions since there is no winning involved. It makes you see the alphabet like a child again, full of excitement and mystery.I can also suggest trying to find the author's other interactive program "midnight play" which is also full of visual and sonic beauty.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW!
All I have to say is WOW!Alphabet is children's software at its finest. This game not only introduces kids to the letters of the alphabet but also to the mouse and keyboard.I enjoyed playing with my daughter because the graphics are so rich and the music is fascinating. This game is really about art.Like a wonderful picture book, Alphabet has given our family hours of enjoyment.

3-0 out of 5 stars Still don't understand
I have used several beginning alphabet programs with my 7 year old.I was looking for something new for my 4 year old and this was well reviewed.I find it totally incomprehensible. It was somewhat entertaining for the 7 year old.We kept trying to guess which letter was represented on the screen. It was useless for letter recognition or phonic sound. ... First of all, I'm a 35 year old guy who does not have a lot of time for gameplay, nor would I want to do it because I spend my workweek staring at a computer. So I generally like games I can get in to and out of quickly, and I like casino games in particular. The exception to this rule is Sims 2 --- I liked the first one so much that when I got a capable system, I had to try it out.
