Putt-Putt and Pep are ready to take your kids on the ride of their lives! Today's the big day as our curious little convertible prepares for the Cartown 500. Redline Rick is eager to start the race, but Putt-Putt and Pep need a few items before they are ready to roll. Kids join in the adventure as they explore brand-new Cartown locations like Torvil Tractor's farm and Rover's Rocket Drive-in, looking for a safety helmet for Pep. Old friends like Smokey the Fire Engine and Outback Al help Putt-Putt get to the track in time for the big race. 3-0 out of 5 stars Needs update to work for Mac OSX users
The product seems nice, but runs in a clunky and confusing Mac OS9 window.i wouldn't recommend this for Mac users until it is updated.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best software for Preschoolers
My son loves all the Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish and I'm not ashamed to say I kinda like 'em too! I am amazed at how well he learned to navigate and remember where items were. My mom is a retired elementary-school teacher and she is amazed at all the skills that this reinforces - math, reading, language, manners, problem-solving, listening, map reading, memory, music, etc.

5-0 out of 5 stars Even fun for a toddler
My son is only 29 months and too young to really understand the game, but he still loves it.There's enough stuff to just click on and look at. He loves driving around, picking up milk-shakes and soda bottles. He loves the library with the book of rare animals and loves putting different numbers on the flag.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Why I like Zoombinis
Hi, my name is Manuel, I am 6 years old and I like Zoombinis a lot because of all the adventures they go through to pass activities and discover new lands. I also like them because the stories are very exciting.
5-0 out of 5 stars So much fun!
This is one of the very few computer games where there are no glitches. The graphics, sound, and over all logic of this game are wonderous. Though some people may say it is for younger kids- they are wrong, my olmost fourteen year old cousin loves it- and even adults like it! It's not the same puzzle over and over agin either- clear directions and changing goals and directions give this game a little lift. There is so much more I could talk about with this game- but I don't want to bore you- overall this game is great!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love'd this game!
I was probably 14 when I played Zoombinis. My aunt had it for my cousins and well for her too, and thought that I would really like it. Not only do you learn and have fun it's so addicting. The best part about it is that you don't even realize you are learning. I am now 24 and recently purchased the game for myself. Not because I need a refresher course but because I enjoyed it so much. I think that this is a great game for the classroom. I've encouraged many of my friends that educate to install into their classrooms. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I agree - Not perfect but very good
This is a fun computer game.My 3 year old enjoys it, but finds it pretty easy. There are times in her week when such a game fits that bill.I will be buying more copies for gifts. The graphics are a little disappointing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Independent game
My youngest son is 3 and really enjoys computer games.I limit his time, especially since many that have entered our house don't seem to have many redeeming qualities or he can't do them himself. This is a game he can play by himself, which occaionally comes in handy, and I feel that it is not devoid of educational value. He also enjoys playing I Spy Treasure Hunt and Spooky Mansion with his 6 year old brother.

1-0 out of 5 stars Boring...
This was so heavily hyped, I had to have it for my five-year old twin girls. What a bore. They're either too old for it, or there is the outside chance that Scholastic really didn't put a lot of effort into this.It would bore a three-year old.Compare to Spooky Mansion or Treasure Island - can't compare with these gems.I'm 50 and play the latter two. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid at all costs
I agree with the reviewer who urges you to stay away from this and other Scholastic products if you run Windows XP.I received School Days and Spooky Mansion today but can't get either to run on XP, even though I am generally quite adept at working with computers.I will never buy another product from this company, even if it works well on XP.These products say they work with "Windows 95, 98, 2000 or later."Don't believe it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Windows XP Compatible
I just tossed this one in the trash. It looked like a good game for my girls but unfortunately Scholastic doesn't believe in updating or supporting their products. I'd be very leary of buying any software from this company since software returns are difficult to negotiate. I would appreciate a list of truly Windows XP compatible children's software titles. Windows XP has been around for at least a couple of years now. I don't understand why compatibility is such a problem. Their support site cites that the problem is "you have too much installed RAM." Well, for most software, that is not a "bad" thing.

5-0 out of 5 stars I spy school days! FUN!!!
Just a great fun game with so many rooms and levels. My 7 year old loves it and it helps in learning to concentrate! I like watching her play. There is a room where she can make her own clues for an I spy game. How fun is that and gives a child the room to invent and create!! Buy!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Preschool Computer Lab Teacher = Thumbs Up!
I have taught computer lab to preschool children for two years and have used this program both years with much success. It is a great game for my older 3 year old students and my 4-5 year old students. The boys love the rocketship shooting shapes game, and everyone thinks the pie fight is funny. The puzzle game is also popular.
5-0 out of 5 stars curious george ..laughing while learning!!
I bought this and my 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 boys they love it!!! the puzzles are great, star shooting gameof shapes is great for hand eye coordination and the pie game is awesome they are learing letters, matching, size differentation, all the while laughing!

3-0 out of 5 stars Buggy
I bought this because my son liked another Curious George game, Downtown Adventure (which I highly recommend but the age range should be 4-8, not 3-6).This game is from a different company and is of very poor quality. The pie fight game crashes in the middle every single time we play, on two different computers. The jukebox game is incredibly slow to load, way too slow for a 3 year old to tolerate. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars won't work on windows XP
Just received this and it said on Amazon website that it works with windows XP but it doesn't. The box says windows 95 and 98. And there was a contest registration that expired in 2000! So this game is very old and doesn't work on XP despite what Amazon says.

5-0 out of 5 stars putt-putt is my fave
I've been a Humongous Entertainment fan I started of with putt-putt goes to the moon from my brother when he was young and I got into it so I started boughing more putt-putt games and I ended up with every putt-putt game(besides putt-putt enters the race).I have putt-putt joins the race, goes to the moon, saves the zoo, joins the circes, pep's birthday surprise and one of my faves putt-putt travels through time. Now I hope they make a nother putt-putt game thanks for lisening bye!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun, Entertaining and Educational!
This game is noted to be for ages 3-8 but as an adult I have to admit that I am enthralled with it. The game is never the same twice so you have to really go on a treasure hunt and while the amount of information given about the different time periods is limited the game forces you to put aside things you may need in your quest and think ahead to how they might be used to retrieve different objects for barter and exchange. While this sounds too advanced for most 3 year olds it keeps them stimulated plus has game times interjected into the action for pure amusement. There is even a virtual "racquetball" court! Really, really valuable addition to our family pasttimes! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars If You Want To Disappoint Your Child Buy This Game
Being the purchasing parent, I got to play the Waste Your Money game with Disney. I like The Wiggles, I have no problem sitting through hours of Wiggley fun, but goodness gracious Disney Interactive! How could you allow this to be put on the market - for 20 dollars no less? My son actually said to me, "Daddy, it's not doing nothing?" (I'll work on his use of double-negatives later) Uhh, Merry Christmas Son?!? It offers NO stimulation for the childs mind and has NO entertainment value. Basically, it's the PC game equivalent of a cardboard cut-out.2-0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money!
Trust me when I say, don't waste your money, this game is not worth it no matter how much of a Wiggle fan your child is.My son is a huge fan so I got this for him thinking it would be the perfect thing to introduce him to the computer. After we played each game just one time he was bored and wanted to get down to go play and that isn't like him when it comes to anything dealing with The Wiggles, he eats, breathes, and sleeps The Wiggles.

2-0 out of 5 stars Should have been called "Dorothy's Cheap Mini-Games"
The voice of Dorothy the Dinosaur provides instructions as you navigate around an island-shaped menu of 8 mini-games.Unfortunately, the games themselves (Tic-Tac-Toe, simple jigsaw puzzles and mazes, etc.) are very short, unimaginative and look cheap. They are of the quality that you can easily find for free on websites like Nick Jr., Playhouse Disney, or PBS Kids.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Educational and Entertaining
This game is fantastic. My kids used to love educational games when they were younger, but went through a stage of disinterest.I think it was because they weren't challenged by the material or the graphics were too young. This game changed everything. They love it, and so do all of their friends. The graphics are cool. The competition is fun.The characters are realistic. The theme is very popular right now--spying and secret agent stuff. It is perfect for my eight year old, but my 6 year old son and 10 year old neice both enjoy playing it as well.

    3-0 out of 5 stars StoryMaker's Putt-Putt Circus Review
It annoys me how it never changes. Hey, Humongous Entertainment! Just because the Time Travels game gets bad reveiws for its complexidy dosen't mean your new game should never change! Anyways, I also do not like how you put Philipe and his flea circus gang on Pep. I made up Action Peps, lots of Peplike dogs (Regular Pep, the original, is one of them) and Mean Action Putt-Putts (but Regular Putt-Putt is good). And the bear you take them off of has to be pretty small because when you press the arrow button on the Magnifind glass, after a few seconds it makes a honking noise and you can't scroll any more. I also don't like Putt-Putt's new adult voice. But the first time you play it still captures the fun problem solving idea, so it gets an extra 2 stars. In Freddi Fish 4 you can give people a taste of your spices but you can't share the peanuts in this and if I went to a "Only 1 bag of peanuts per person!" circus I'd be mad!
5-0 out of 5 stars Putt-Putt is great
I got putt putt with a computer that i had bought as one of the disks included. My son was 2 at the time and loved playing this game with me looking for missing clues and helping to put them together. now at 3 yrs of age he plays all by himself with it and knows exactly where to go each time he starts over.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent software for young game players
If your child has played beginning software like JumpStart and is ready to move on to more advanced gameplay, Humongous Entertainment's Putt-Putt series (and Freddi Fish and Pajama Sam, as well) are an excellent choice. These titles take the cognitive tasks up a notch as children must accumulate specific items, navigate a number of locations, and use their problem-solving skills to help their friends and achieve larger goals. Along the way, kind and gentle Putt-Putt and his dog Pep will meet a number of nice characters, visit a variety of interesting locations and play games as they complete the larger tasks.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Lame
This game is lame.I had no technical problems whatsoever, the game is simply boring.I agree with the other review that says it's hard to figure out what you are supposed to do.The game doesn't make any sense. It's counter intuitive - a very bad thing for a kid game.I got it as part of a suite of kids software, and I'm thankful that I didn't buy it separately. But, I have to live with the never-ending cycle of my 2 year old wanting to hear the song and see the characters (she cried until I load the CD) like it's a cartoon. Then, she gets frustrated and cries when she has no idea what to do. And, my 4 year old became almost immediately bored with the game when it's pointless nature became evident to her as well. She went back to the Scooby Doo mysteries (which are really good). I think I'm going to uninstall it and throw it in the garbage just to get away from it.It's that bad.

2-0 out of 5 stars Buggy and brief
My son loves Rolie Polie Olie and I really enjoy reading the books to him, but I've been pretty disappointed in this software title.1-0 out of 5 stars Slow, buggy and badly designed
The CD claims it works on 95/98/Me/XP. having XP I can tell it's _not_ true for XP. For starters, it will tell you "no disc inserted" unless you run the game as administrator. It defeats the purpose of creating accounts if your 2 year old son has to log on or run stuff as administrator. I can't understand why it's so slow on a 2.6Ghz computer with 1Gb of memory.Read more

    Editorial Review

The object of the game is to identify sets of three cards. Each card is unique in its four features: number: 1,2, or 3; symbol: diamond, squiggle, or oval; shading: solid, striped, or open; and color: red, green, or purple. A set consists of three cards on which every feature is either the same on all of the cards, or different on all of the cards. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Get with the Program, SET!
Please be aware that I've never played Cyber SET; I'm a HUGE fan of the card game and the daily online puzzle who finally decided to bite the bullet and buy this edition. Not only was the game no longer listed for sale on the company's Web site, but the customer service department (who, to their credit, responded to my questions very quickly) informed me that the game doesn't even run on anything more recent than Macintosh OS 8 (although subsequent sifting through their site claims through OS X 10.2--two upgrades ago). A revision is said to be in the works, but I was informed that it was unlikely to see the light of day before 2007.
2-0 out of 5 stars A good game, but really outdated version :-(
My son and I love to play the daily puzzle of the game of SET at the website setgame.com. Naturally we were excited to see that this version listed "Includes online play" as a feature, because we have multiple PC's at home on our home network.
5-0 out of 5 stars I like to think it encourages mathematical thinking. . .
I've been playing the card game for years--it's wonderful. I'm so happy they've made a computer version so that I don't have to find someone to play against me! As a mathematics educator, I'll definitely get this for my classroom, because I think that it encourages the same kind of thinking required for conceptual problems posed in high-school math classes. (And, theoretically, it can be used to cover some mathematical concepts, like probability.) It's definitely a stimulating game--and I love it. ... Read more
