Didn't work as advertised
i bought it to help me get my printer and 3 PCs networked with a linksys router.the application crashed several times and the UI was really hard to navigate. it ended up taking up time, rather than saving it.

Wireless Ignition v1-1
like millions of other home PC users my LAN has evolvedand grown over the past few years, asmore whiz bang devices have become available to my network.It's unfortunate that Microsoft always seems to be several steps behind the curve.In my case, my LAN went from wired (just 2 pc's, a router & a cable modem) then adding a third Wi-Fi ready laptop for the wife, and then later a NAS mass storage device (for back-up, MP3 storage, temp photo & video file storage to view listen to on the Home entertainment center.I run all linksys networking equipment.But, I was having a real tough time keeping my wife's new laptop configured & propery connected to the Wi-Fi LAN ...I had read a positive review of Ignition and decided to give it a try.All configuration problems on the Laptop were SOLVED within 10 minutes after installing the program.(This does require turning OFF (disabling) the WindowsXP network setup software and turning over full control to Wireless Ignition.
I can see all the wireless access points in my area
I was having all kinds of trouble with Windows knocking me off my wireless access point router.Whenever it detected a signal turn on in my area, I would lose my connection -- TALK ABOUT FRUSTRATING!!!When I use Wireless Network Ignition, I could visually see ever access point that my laptop could detect.I could then click on my wireless router and LOCK my signal to my access point.Since buying this product, I have not been knocked off my network.(The AP lock works just as well when I take it on the road with me too). ... 3 Dead Media Centers
For some reason my 3 Gateway XP Pro - Media Center PC's will NOT network so I bought this to solve my problem ... NOT! So much for networking from my internet PC to the HT PC to my 3 month old UNUSED! 42 inch Plasma screen. For the 50 bucks I spent on this Soft(Limp)ware I could have bought binoculars to watch my neighbors tv. Ah the joys of the high tech age ...

Monarch Software does some great things.
This is great software for anyone who needs to pull information out of massive computer reports or .pdf files.You give the software certain parameters about the report you are working with and, once you get it right, you get all of the information in a spreadsheet format that is extremely useable, can be easily exported to other files, reorganized, recalculated, etc.It does have a bit of a learning curve if you want to do its more complicated functions, however, the time spent learning the software could give you the information you can't get otherwise, and save you lots of time in the long run. ... Server Basics 101
I just took on setting up my first small office network.We have four computers and a desktop that someone set up to run as a server. The 6 gig harddrive had long seen its time and needed to be replaced.I bought a Dell PowerEdge SC420, 4 Windows XP Professional upgrades (from Amazon at an amazing price and current rebate) and Windows Small Business Server 2003 (also at a great price).I've worked on PC's for years but never set up a office network with a server.I was very apprehensive and questioned my skill but this software honestly was ridiculously simple to install and deploy.

What is FTP you may ask? It means File Transfer Process. In other words, this program allows you to easily transfer files like HTML, JPG, AVI, MPG, and GIFs from your own computer to other computers on the Internet. Its a very nice interface with your files on the left and the remote computer's files on the right. It will even hold all of the information about the remote computers such as your login, password and the location of the computer. Thats pretty much all it is good for. Great for novice web designers.

I received Cute FTP software and loaded it without any problems. After filling out a few small fields, it allowed me within minutes to upload web files to my Web Hosting service, with exceptional ease and speed. Great for synchronizing laptops to desktop systems
This program does one thing, and does it well:allows you to synchronize files and folders of more than one system.I use it to move files to and from my Windows 98 laptop system and my Windows 2000 desktop PC, which is especially handy because I work on some projects on my laptop, and when I get home I prefer continuing on my desktop PC.
