Finally a Great Antivirus!
I used to have Norton for years. After all it was the industry standard, but after it let many a virus slip on through; I had enough.
Best Security Software on the Market!!
I was recommended this software by Amazon Merchant Xpresstech in 2003 and have been using it ever since. This is an excellent product and it is the least intrusive of all similar products!
Save your money and get something else
After a couple of months of working perfectly, the software said that the registation is invalid (I purchased a 1 yr subscription, so this error message should not appear). After going thru all the knowledge base on Trend Micro's website, none of the solution worked. I contacted Trend Micro and it seems that all they can do is cut and paste the same solutions off their website and send them via email. After couple hours of headaches and no progress, I decided to uninstall the software and going to get some other anti-virus software. Save your money and don't even bother with Trend Micro, their product will just stop working prematurely and their tech support is awful.

WORKS FOR ME
IT does slow your computer down a little, but I would rather have that then have a software not catch it. I am very happy with Webroot's products. I also have used Window Washer for over 10 years.I have tested Lava-Soft SE, Norton,& Zone Alarms anti-spy programs. Seems they all catch something the other ones missed. But Spy sweeper has caught the most serious ones.
Two Problems
My OS is Windows XP Pro SP2.
Terrible
I have been using Spysweeper for years and liked it.No more.I have a older machine that runs well.Until I put 5.0 on it.This is a case of the cure being worse than the disease!ONLY consider this if you are running over a gig of memory at above 2 GHz.Probably need a dual core and a huge L2 cache with RAID 0 twin hard drives, too.Even then, once you up-grade to VISTA (Spring '07 (?!)) forget about it!SO if you spent $2000+ on a box this spring or $1500+ on a box this summer you might want to consider this POC. (Be sure to ask Webroot about VISTA compatibility).

Privacy Service & Spamkiller Installation Disables All Browsers & Email Programs for accessing the internet.
Warning:I Installed Mcafee Total Protection 2007 on my Windows XP Pro Edition SP2 PC.I then was unable to connect to the internet. It disabled all my browsers (IE, Netscape, & Secure IE) & also disabled MS Outlook from accessing the internet.
The worst security product I've used
Had this for three computers at home, and it was working at first, after two weeks it started causing significant performance problems and interaction with other programs on one system and I had to remove it.After 6 weeks and update was pushed out and really hosed the second computer causing significant performance problems and preventing World of Warcraft from running and I had to remove it from that one.The first two were Win XP Pro.The third computer barely gets used and is Win 2000 Pro and havn't had any significant problems.Tech support is the worst I have seen, ok maby D-Link was worse a few years ago. They don't even list the product in their technical support and you have to pay to speak with anyone.I have gone back to using simpler but functional/working security products.
Warning on Update Service
The anti-virus product came with my Dell.I signed up for the updates that are needed for the virus scan to work.It seemed to work fine. But after a while, I was tired of the pop up's telling me that I should upgrade to another product.

I HATE this product
At my business we are required to scan things to PDF documents to send to our clients. I love the PDF format. It is a great way to easily condense documents into small file sizes while still maintaining quality. It's unfortunate that I haven't found a way to create PDF without going through Adobe first. As the IT guy in our office, Acrobat problems is the biggest thing I get called about. This is the most bloated invasive software I have ever used, even more so than some spyware I've seen. It installs itself EVERYWHERE.
Acrobat 6
I really think many of the visual upgrades made to Acrobat 6(over Acrobat 5) only made it more clumsy. The core product is still great.
Eh... Version 5 was fine.
I've been a fan (and user) of Acrobat for many years, and am continually amazed by the number of organizations that *don't* circulate their documents in PDF format. I don't even *read* Word attachments anymore, for fear of viruses and because I *know* they won't look like the author intended.

Netobjects Fusion 8 - Just awesome!
This program has a short learning curve. The interface is intuitive to users at all levels. This software is much improved from the earlier releases.I'm not going to repeat the stuffs that are listed on the netobjects.com, but you should really checkout this product. The site wizard is not bad either.I give it a 5 stars rating.
Long Learning Curve
This is not an easy program to learn. I am a previous user of FrontPage, so I don't consider myself a beginner. You can build a great website with this program, but it will take you forever to do it. There also quite a few bugs with the software that haven't been worked out.
Long Time User of NetObjects
I've used NetObjects for web development projects since the first product launched back in the mid-1990s.It's come a long way and is a lot less expensive, much easier to use, provides leaner code, and development capabilities right up there with the gold standard (Dreamweaver).I've used several other products over the years including Dreamweaver MX, Go Live and Front Page, Nothing can compare to the production speed and flexibility provided for both novice and experienced web developers that NetObjects has consistently provided for a decade.

Does everything you need !!
I'm thrilled to find a program that does everything it claimed it would do. Be carefull to install it on the computer you want to use it on though !! Once installed, it will not work on another unit !! I tried it on my computer and then wanted to move it to the computer I wanted to monitor !! Can't be done !!
The Absolute Best Product for Keeping Your Kids Safe Online
It is unfortunate that software pirates/thieves are allowed to post their opinions aside the rest of us, but that is, I guess, part of a democratic process, as far as Amazon is concerned.
Outstanding Software for Parents
I have spent countless hours wondering what my daughter has been doing on the computer.I always suspected that she was chatting online, but I never expected to see what they were talking about until I found this program! I actually found out through Spector Pro that she had 2 myspace.com accounts. One that she was telling me about, and the other that she was hiding from me for about 6 months. I could not believe the kinds of people that she was talking too. Some were kids and that's fine, but there were a couple of older men that looked my age!!! Spector Pro does more than record chat and Myspace activity, it records everything.I think this program can save parents a world of problems.THIS IS A MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE A PARENT! Thank you SpectorSoft my search for an excellent computer monitoring software is over!

Garbage
As a user of this and other Norton products and as a tech-support professional, I must tell you that the bad reviews are true. I used to be a big fan of Norton products until recently.
Junk - Symantec should be ashamed
Search for Amazon item number 10099566 to see an overwhelming number of bad reviews of Norton AntiSpam 2004.They didn't improve the product much in the 2005 version. It is really disgusting that Symantec has leveraged the Norton brand, formerly known for quality, with the cynical money grab that is Norton AntiSpam.Absolute junk software, with comically bad support.I hope to see a class action lawsuit against Symantec for selling this product that they certainly know is defective in a myriad of ways.
Not worth Buying
I purchased the Norton Internet Security with the Norton Antispam hoping that it would eventualy solve my ever increasing amounts of spam in my inbox

Highly reccomended.
Okey, the graphics are now somewhat dated. A lot can change in 6 years, but they're quite tollerable & very fun to look at. When I read previews for the upcomming Bioshock & old reviews on Grim Fandango; they reminded me of this. It's part 3ed Person Shooter & mostly adventure. There really aren't enough AI to stand in your way earlier on. You biggest & moct consistant danger throughout the game is falling to your death. Latter you'll have to deal with drowning, being eaten, & being squished by gigantic projectiles. Unlike most fighting games, the environment is you're worst & most challenging enemy. Despite limited exploring you may still become lost. If you play RTS games & find smothering same-looking enemies over & over to become boring, don't worry; this can be ammusing & strategicaly stimulating.

Slow me down
When I installed Spyware Doctor, that is exactly what it did - slooooowed me down. It hung up on the first scan - not a good sign, but then worked on the second attempt. I believe this to be a very good program for preventing spyware on you computer, but there are some big caveats. With OnGuard background monitoring activated, it used about 95% of CPU resources. Obviously I couldn't do anything else with my system. I turned off OnGuard and things seemed ok for awhile. Even with this turned off and all automatic scanning disabled, every so often the program did something in the background which utilized around 95% of my CPU. Again I couldn't do anything else.
Worst PC program I've ever used
I'm not sure I understand those individuals who are not having problems with this Product. It, as many have said is lacking in quality, and if you care how your system performs, don't install Spyware.I had two problems. My system would not shut down and as most others, ran extremely slow. There is no support for this product as published.I corresponded with the Support Group 5 times and not once did they understand what I said.
Plugged up
This product did locate spyware, but I can get better results with Ad-Aware. I bought this product, however it clogged up my system. I had to remove it and re-install it. When I was notified that upgrades were available, I could not get upgrades. I finally removed it from my computer. Ad-Aware is FREE and works great!

Adobe Acrobat 5.0
I was familiar with this product before I purchased it. I was leary about purchasing it without the manual or other documentation -- just the CD -- but I took a chance, based on Amazon.com's reputation for standing by their processes.
This is the best deal going right now for Acrobat
By the time I was done reading the reviews for Adobe Acrobat 6.0 I was depressed. Not only do I not have Windows XP, or Windows 2000, or NT installed in my machine (The only operating systems that will work with 6) I also couldn't muster up the confidence in the product after so many people were giving it the thumbs down. I want to create an eBook, and Adobe Reader is the most popular reader out there, with some 400 million, to a half a billion users with it installed. What a dilemma. I kept coming back to read some more. Finally I found the answer. I bought a new Adobe Acrobat 5.0 here at Amazon from one of their vendors, and it works great with my Windows 98SE. I planned on buying the 6.0 upgrade after they got the bugs out, and or I got a new computer with XP. Then I found out that 5.0 was the only version before, and that was the professional version. 6.0 Standard is a geared down version of 5. Ok, so it has some additional features, but it is missing all the rest of the professional features that 5 has.
Merely a Stepping Stone
Since, for some unknown reason, Adobe doesn't offer a direct upgrade path from Acrobat 3 to Acrobat 6, I bought this Acrobat 5 Upgrade merely so I could qualify for a free upgrade to Acrobat 6.Not only is this silly of Adobe, it's also expensive.Instead of buying an Acrobat 6 package, sticking my old Acrobat 3 CD into the drive, and continuing on my way without further hassle or expense, I had to buy the Acrobat 5 upgrade, go to the Adobe website to find their customer support phone number, call them via their 800 number, get them copies of the receipt, pay a token shipping cost, and then install the new software. What's even worse is that I've spent over six weeks trying to do that.Amazon got me the package immediately. But, so far, I've had to talk to Adobe (at their expense) five times. The first time was to find out that the upgrade existed and get the instructions for faxing the information to them.Supposedly, my fax never arrived. Then, I had to talk to them about that and get a snail-mail address.Supposedly, THAT package never arrived. Then, with my next call, I managed to get an email address to send the documents to.Again, supposedly, that never arrived. Finally, I talked to a person who had me re-fax just the receipt and my Acrobat 3 serial number. She called me back within a half an hour and we completed the whole process (confirmed my shipping address and got a credit card number for the shipping fee).Besides the hassle I had to go through, this upgrade must have cost Adobe a bundle in phone and support personnel costs. The free upgrade period from Acrobat 5 to 6 is over now, but Adobe really needs to come up with a better way for their old Acrobat 3 customers to upgrade.
