Perfect for Fast DVD SlideShows and Photo Albums
I'm not sure why the people below below had all this trouble, but this worked perfectly for me. Within just a few minutes, I had a DVD slideshow set to my music, with the best PAN and ZOOM features in the industry (bringing my photos to life).

yup...doesn't work
spent hours putting together a slideshow and burning it to DVD...wouldn't play on any of our 4 different DVD players...[...]...don't bother with it!
Horrible
This software is the biggest rip off I think I've ever experienced. I was able to use this software to make ONE DVD slideshow of photos and then it quit working. I've tried to contact the company numerous ways (emails, phone calls, leaving messages) over the last 6 weeks and I have not received one response. I've tried reloading the software to my computer and that doesn't work.

Interface a bit confusing but it does the job!
Tune Tools does have a Help file. It is poorly laid out and really in need of a better writer (lots of spelling and formatting errors), but it does sufficiently guide you through the process for porting your music from your iPod to your computer.

Magix Hip Hop with Sonic Potion.

Good But Gets Old
This program is good for the non-famous singers or people tryin to have fun with music. I bought this program because I was a music starter but it doesnt have enough sounds to make a whole cd or even a couple songs. So now I am getting a real studio. But if you dont want to spend alot of money but want quality songs get Magix Hip-Hop Maker.

I purchased this program when it first came out. To be honest with you, the program itself [stinks]. It is hard to view the samples that you have used in a composition. It worked for a day
Just like everyone else wished I knew about the reviews before I purchased this product it worked for a day perfectly!! And now it doesn't even do what it was purchased what it was intended to do. And customer service is horrific for this product I have never used Roxio before and I will never again.

roxio sucks
For any people who plan to by this product, remember this, 90 % of all of Roxio's software gets embeded in the system files of the OS. As this reason is mainly the cause of lockups and not being able to access other programs while this one is running, all roxio software should be avoided. The programmers of this software mainly manfacture this for proprietary machinesi.e.. dell, gateway, compaq in which most programs are usually connected to other programs and reporting software via software patches. This is the main reason why all of these systems do not come with an OEM copy of any software like Windows or driver disks for any internal hardware componets. For a good product look to DVD X Copy, I know this program still works even though the earlier versions were less of a hassle to have and cost a whole lot less, these newer versions still offer almost the same grade of reliability. Great software
I'm in my 40's and was able to pick up my father's 30 year old electric bass and learn how to play very quickly. I've been using the program about 3 months and try to play 1/2 to 1 hour every day. Besides learning the songs included in the program I have been able to play Cream songs Badge and Sunshine of Your Love by teaching myself.
Nice but buggy in XP
First the problems: I began using this product under Windows XP home edition and found several bugs.The metronome and tuner would not work, and the menus had extraneous symbols.None of these were a killer, but a bit annoying.Then I switched to my old computer running Windows 98, and everything worked fine.

seems to be as good as it claims
This product was recommended to me by a computer-expert friend as much easier to use than the usual ones.I am now almost finished with my first website (which includes lots of graphics, pop-up windows, and a music download) and it has really been a breeze.I don't consider myself good with computers, but this program let me worry much more about what I wanted to put on the site, and how I wanted it to look, than about how I was going to implement that.The tutorials in the included "Getting Started" booklet are well worth working through, and the "Using Freeway" book, also included, goes into more detail -- a refreshing change from those programs that come with zero paper help documentation.And the results look professional -- as soon as another friend saw my half-done first website, he wanted to hire me to do one for him! ... Must-Have for the Video iPod
This program does a fine job of transferring DVD material to iPod format.I have used it many times to put movies onto my 60 gig model and that has made travel much more relaxing.Note: the video function of iPods drains battery life pretty quickly, so be prepared with a charger or additional battery if you want to watch more than a movie or two at a whack.

Scam
This program installed fine, except when i went into the program, it wouldn't let me put a single DVD on it.It says it is CSS encripted.Did you know that the only DVDs thar r not CSS encripted are home videos.

pretty darn impressive!
Many people have said that this program is not worth a penny, however, I truly disagree! Yes, it is true that it does lag and if you get frustrated with it and start clicking things it makes it worse. However, when it does have its melt downs, as long as you are pacient for a couple seconds it'll come back to you. However, make sure you save often just in case. The affects are absolutly fantastic! I have a special program for transitions though- Hollywood FX. With the program the transitions can be insanely cool. I've made lots of videos with ease. It has been so much easier to manage than I-movie. Also an easy to follow set up and its easy to learn! I am wondering though (the real reason I wondered onto this page) if any one knows how to put 4-8 different shots onto one screen as a split screen with all videos playing at the same time. Does anyone have any idea? The affect shows that it is available through the hollywood fx transitions, but I can only get it to work with two shots, even though the transition botton says it should do 4. If you have any suggestions please write it in a review. I'll be checking! Thanks! Great product though! I totally recommend it!

This software really sucks
Hi there, straight to the point, this software is not worth a penny.....takes so long, I've even upgraded my computer with more memory, and dual processor, and still this program will not budge, spend your money elsewhere....thats where I'm going....

While you can ah.....sorta edit....Video capture lags badly. When I say this let me also say that my machine is an Athlon64 3100+ with 512MB DDR 400, ATI 9600 128MB video (How I got the software)250gig 7200 ata 133 drive and it has done nothing but drop frames faster that it gets 'em....Yeah I have went thru all of the settings blah DMA blah defragement blah etc.... so when I transfer to DVD from VHS AND after waiting for the (Choke) render (like 3 hrs)well....jerky video on DVD is what I end up with.....Lets face it, pinnacle is crap...I am just glad that I did not have to purchase the software....Sure would like to know of somthing that actually works.... ... Spam software
This is a spam software.It's good for the people that Amazon carries this, so that they can read the reviews before they fall in the same trick.However, Amazon will get sued one day or another because of selling spam.The software itself is cheap, but all the cost to have a professional come out and fix customer's computer is not.Be aware!
Magix aint all bad
Magix started out over a decade ago with their music making software from which I have purchased 4 versions. This software is unstoppable. It does video, audio, and of course Music.
Not compatible with many phones
I could not tell from the product description that this would not work with my daughers phone. Waste of $20. This product needs to have a very clear description of supported phones on it. You cant tell until you install which then invalidates the returns policy for the software. Very poor.

Don't see the problem here.
I've been using Encore since its first release. I don't know why many people complain about bugs and files corrupted. I've never had any problems in 3 years using this software. This is no Windows movie maker or iDVD. This is a serious prefessional software. If you want to learn it you should be comitted to research book like Adobe's Classroom in a Book or any other kind of tutorial book. I use this software at a professional level. I send DVD masters for mass reproduction every month and Encore has never failed me. I just upgraded to HDV and it handles it well too. I used to use Ulead DVD and as soon as I got Encore my whole production changed. I start my film in Premiere, tweak it in After Effects and DVD authoring in Encore and done, ready for reproduction.

A Bug Nest
DON'T BUY! This piece of software is full of bugs and inexplicable system errors. I have never been able to complete any project. Every time, my project gets corrupted for no reason and then need to be rebuilt from scratch. If you don't believe me, please visit the Adobe User Forum and read through all the messages from users crying for help with program and system errors. I own the whole Production Studio Suite but I ended up buying DVDit in addition. ... Read more

Very impressive but not without its faults
For a product marketed at mid-level users, DVD Workshop 2 really shines. A lot of thought was put into the user interface, which kind of "wizards" users through a painless step-by-step creation of the DVD.More advanced features and customizations are available should you need them, however. This allowed me to be comfortable with the product first before I started to need or want to play with more advanced options.End result was, this product is very easy to learn, not at all as intimidating as some of the competitors or more high-end products, with a plethora of information, buttons and options on-screen at any one point leading me to wonder "Where do I begin".

What did I just pay for?
I don't get this, in Plus 98 you get a whole bunch of themes and other stuff - in Plus XP you get nothing - well you get a couple of thems!I cannot believe I paid for this - I uninstalled this and returned it for store credit - this is not worth $19.99 or $12.99 it is worth $1.99 - if you want some more themes for Windows XP look around on the internet for FREE ones and save your money!

Terrific For Getting Your Old Records On Cds Or In Your iPod!
This is not the most current version of this software; but since it's probably still being sold new in places like eBay, I thought I'd still do a review. I bought this years ago to convert my records to CDs, but just ended up using it this year. I got a terrific Audio-Technica turntable for Christmas that plugs in easily to my PC.This is the software I'm using to convert the records. It is VERY easy to use, and has VERY easy instructions. The only one problem I had is that sometimes the hiss reduction feature will not be available if the software can't detect the spaces between the songs on an album, or if you are playing a 45. You then have to go back to the recording page, and record the blank area at the end of the record. And believe me, you don't want to leave out either the pop or hiss clean up! It's unbelievable how well they both clean up the record. (And I find this software far easier to use than the Nero that came with my Sony CD/DVD burner.)
Great fun at a great value
Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition is not something necessary for the enjoyment of life, but, then, neither is a computer, a cell phone, or a TV, unless you are a diehard couch potato.What this collection of utilities does is add some fun to Windows XP, and it's stuff no other operating system enjoys.I personally use Photo Story and Analog Recorder often, because they are both easy to use and a blast to use, too.The games collection could have been better, but, hey, for a little over ten bucks, why complain? ...
