Unbelievable product!
As everyone else has already stated, this disc is absolutely amazing. Just getting the entire Solti Ring at this price makes it a bargain. But add in all the essays, the pointing out of the leitmotiffs, the libretto, the running commentary, and all the other features, and this is the kind of deal that you would be crazy to pass up. This disc is, probably, the best and most efficient way to learn everything you need to know about the Ring. Also, if you're worried about compatability, don't be. I have Windows XP, and the disc runs perfectly with no installation or technical hassles. Just put it in and start the experience. If you are at all interested in Wagner's Ring cycle, this disc is perfect!

At a loss for words . . .
Fantastic, overwhelming. . . superb guide. Easy to use, fine reproduction of the music (the entire Ring all on one CD!), running commentary with hypertext notes on themes and characters, notes on the leitmotifs with sound bites, images, etc. -- can't say enough, really. Only suggestion would be to have additional navigation by "track" (as on a conventional CD, if possible) -- but this is a quibble.
A graduate level course on Wagner's "Ring"
When I was a graduate student in college, I took a two-semester course on the operas of Richard Wagner: the first semester was on his "other" operas and the second was on "Der Ring des Nibelungen".The second semester was spent in Germany, where we attended a performance of the complete "Ring" at Bayreuth (glorious!). Finding a copy of this Ring Disc ... was a real treasure (I must have bought the last one available, unfortunately, as it now available only as a used CD).This program really allows me to dig into the Ring once again, after so many years.It's a shame that the audio quality isn't any better, but 14.5 hours on one CDR is still remarkable. I recently purchased the new DVD set of the Ring, with Pierre Boulez (That's another review entirely!), and find the Ring Disc a helpful supplement.It is a shame that it seems to POP, but at the original ... list price, no wonder.Read more

A good product IF you get the real thing!
6.6 Ultra is an extremely good CD/DVD burning suite.It even has an excellent schedule-able backup/restore utility that burns to disk.
Not as Advertised
I should have read these comments before ordering.Got an OEM CD and a generic jewel box.

Get It from the Source
Nero 6 is a wonderful product, but you need to get a legal copy of the full retail version, not an OEM CD or a CD of questionable origin. At this time (April 2006) the best place to get it is from the Ahead Software website (the makers of Nero). (You can get a retail box of Nero 7 just about anywhere, but Nero 6.6 seems to be more stable and provides all the functionality most users will need.) You can download a demo, then purchase a serial number to unlock the full product. It's a smooth, easy transaction. After many headaches I discovered that the OEM version that came with my DVD burner would allow me to capture video from my camcorder, but wouldn't let me burn them to DVDs. My choice was to either buy a CD of questionable origin (and one that is almost certifiably illegal) on eBay, purchase a DVD burning plug-in from Ahead Software for $24.99, or purchase the whole suite for $80.00. I chose the latter. Using my installed OEM version, I purchased the serial number, entered it into the product (very easy to do), then downloaded the latest updates, and I was off and running. This software produces very high quality DVDs and can burn a disk in 15 to 20 minutes using an inexpensive 16x NEC DVD burner. Doesn't work as advertised
This product appears to be the real deal for converting your vinyl and tape collection to CD or DVD. It has a number of features for removing tape hiss and pops and crackles from vinyl recordings via easy to use slider bars in the control window as well as auto track detection which is a nice feature.
Freeware is betterware!
Having trouble with ACL?Then try the freeware Audacity (audacity.soundforge.net) It's fast, has a wealth of features, never crashes, writes MP3's... Do I need to say more?

Sibelius 2 more convienient
I have not tried Sibelius 3, but comparing Sib 4 to Sib 2, I'll take 2 because of one main feature: The new playback line feature in Sib 4. I HATE THIS FEATURE!!!!!!! In Sib 2, you simply click on the note that you want it to start playing from and press play, and it starts playing from that point, and if nothing is selected, it starts playing from the top. Totally logical. But in Sib 4, there's this stupid line that starts at the top when you press play, and when you press stop, the line stops and stays there, and when you start playing again, it just picks up where it left off. Stupid? YES!!! And there's no simple way to move the line to where you want it to start, say in the middle of the score. The only way to move the line is by using the Fast Forward/Rewind buttons, or the timeline slider, or using an option from a menu, or using a three-key shortcut. Either way, it is a BIG WASTE OF TIME!! When I'm composing a passage and I want to listen to it over and over again, it is so easy in Sib 2 to just click on the note your want to start on and it just plays from that point, and not deal with all this stupid playback line CRAP. SO INCONVIENIENT!!!!!!!!
Sibelius and Finale
I'm a long-term registered Sibelius user. Sibelius upgrades come fast and furious and this is a part of Sibelius business model. I buy every other upgrade. I suspect they simplyhoard some features and space them out from one version to the next. Having said that, Sibelius is still the best notation software on the market. I've used everything from much-lamented Encore (RIP) to Finale. Finale has a WAY steeper learning curve than Sibelius. Finale has more tools and bells, but Sibelius is considerably more intuitive and easier to use. For avant-garde scores Sibelius is less time consuming, even with graphic and aleatoric scores. Caveat 1: Ignore all Sibelius additional options, most are useless. Caveat 2: Educational version will only allow one computer install. To move the software from one computer to another you need to call and get an authorization.To run it on two computers ( say, my desktop and laptop), you have to pay extra. This is the worst part of the Sibelius soft. Otherwise it's out-of-the-box useful.

Great Product
I am using Toast 6 for Mac to convert my vinyl to digital format. After trying other products, I bought this for the CD Spin Doctor program. It is easy to use and the editing features work very well. Discus 3.0.4 upgrade Label/Jewel Case Software is Tops

Be forewarned
Despite what this site AND the companies own website say, this product is NOT compatible with Windows XP.Their tech support guy is nice, but helpless with an issue that is insoluble.Their customer service just said, "sorry, return it to Amazon and maybe try another one of our titles."No offer to exchange for a working title, as they were worried about throwing off inventory.

It was really cool how this CDROM was put together. Very user friendly & easy to install & run. You can hear the finished product, watch the guitar tabs to see how it is played with adjustable MIDI Music control to speed it up or slow it down. Mute the part you want to play & jam along with the band. Cool stuff! It also includes a brief history of the song & the artist, which is always interesting. Great Product!
This CDROM has it all. Music, TAB, play along with either the MIDI version of the song OR the audio version. Simply put - great value for the money...
Bought this to get some basic rythms going - in a matter of minutes the first song was set.The wav file was created and imported into Cakewalk for additional processing.
oh, come on...
ok, so the first months i had this game i loved it...it was like all i did. But then when I played it a couple of days ago, it kept freezing and not responding. I couldn't even add keyboard or string music. I paid my money for a game that keeps freezing and won't let me add loops? I don't think so. If you want to use something good that will actually work, use Acid Techno 2.0 it is awesome. Do not buy this game the next year you use it it will freeze on you!

Great For Everybody!
This is a great product. Tho it can have more loops it has mant loops to choose from. We even use the product at my middle school. Its fun to use. My friends all gathered around and we made realy cool music from this 4 year old age group product. Super Duper is a great family product but is even better for TEENS! Yeah not 10 year old but teens. Abandoned again
This product is a good value for the money.however, it is abandoned as a product and won't receive any further updates.Who wants to buy yet another dead end product which will never be repaired?Kind of like buying a car from a manufacturer who doesn't exist any more.Who in their right mind would do that?
I did not ask for AOL, I asked for a CD Labeler
This program is another of those that AOL is using to infiltrate and take over your computer. After downloading the software I found that I had also, without knowing it, loaded my computer with AOL software and Icons. What's more, there is no way to uninstall it. They tell you that you can but you can't, unless you know how to go all over your computer and hand pick all the files it adds or modifies. I find this obtrusive and offensive. If I wanted AOL I would have it - after all AOL saturates us with advertising already.

For what it is...OUTSTANDING
I have used Magix Samplitude in a professional studio setting, editing radio commercials and doing audio for video work. This product is about three features short of the $1,700 (approx.) version of their pro audio program, Samplitude.It's incredible.When I first saw it, I thought, "They must have stripped the program bare, but at least it has the interface".Upon receiving this product, I was shocked, it's essentially Samplitude Studio, and it has a full MIDI sequencer to boot, with some of the most realistic instrumentation I've ever heard. asio drivers will be very poor and your computer will overstack its buffers.This will cause crashing, dropouts, and other bad assortments.Before buying audio software make sure your drivers are updated and well written specifically for the card.
